Re: Quarter timers
We've looked into this suggestion and the discussion around it and have decided that it is time to make this change. I'll be working on updating database records for Quarters with a one week timer to have a longer two week timer across the board. Note that this change will not affect Shops, they wi...

Re: Quarter timers
Extension of quarters of 7 days to 14 days, no matter how it looks to me, is simply bad move for popular places, especially within settlements. There're just too many players that are waiting to own a property (House not Room) and DM's monitoring of 'abuse' of these quarters, rather than non-existan...

Re: Award cycling races: Giants
Actively playing as a half-giant myself, I have few curiosities about untapped possibilities of one glaring fact : Old english spoken by half-giants, being very hard to grasp for most players? From this trouble alone, I was expecting many characters voicing their complains about it IC to us half-gi...

Re: Feylock Functionally Does Not Have a Greater Blast Effect
How did you come to the realization that it's not working? I'm very certain that i've seen the combat written "Missed....55% Concealment" when doing PVE content frequently. Edit : Furthermore, it negates all attacker miss chances Yes i did read this. But I'm certain that i've seen the missed chance ...

Re: Feylock Functionally Does Not Have a Greater Blast Effect
Concealment has always been a major factor in PVE content. What you've written about every enemies have blind fight feat OR even if they DO have, you will still apply the concealment on yourself because It's just super important together with your high AC. What i believe that is being argued here is...

Re: Spell components
I believe that the Issue here isn't about destroying Spell Component pouch when it's running low but specifically about having more than 1 Spell Component Pouch which does not register. This is because once your Pouch reaches 1 or 2 charges and you decide to cast a Tier 9 spell which cost 3 Componen...

Re: Thread of Disappearance
Helkaros has departed from Arelith with the blessing of his Crew, the Guldorand's Navy, and the Friends that he had met during the 2 years of his stay on Arelith. It was hell of a ride and thanks to all the players that had been supportive and together we did great things on Tempest. Special Thanks ...

Re: Wiz & Sorc Adjustments
What is deadly about dispel is the ability to strip away spells without limits ( if your dispel CL is horrible ) and also the following critical buff that is probably going to Omph you when it's gone - 1) Haste ( This is probably the killing factor, no matter for mundane or spell caster ) 2) Bull's ...

Re: Search
I'll be frank because the search function is more prevalent on sailing crew. Granted, i'll soon be retiring from the sailing and does not actually matter much to me anymore but i decide to bite the bullet and question anyway. Usually with the crew on the ship, we need to allocate the roles that each...
Re: Search
I've posted twice because this feels like a trap. The reason is because /Party/ belongs to mechanic and if players want to circumvent the penalty, most of them will likely choose to leave party when they are going to open valuable chests, to not be pulled down by the mechanics due to Search changes....

Re: WM?
I think it should be said that out of all the classes, WM is one of the few that has seen effectively no changes from the original NWN class release. This means that it's not excatly a misbalance on the Devs' side of things, but in my opinion rather a problem of NWN as a whole. You don't take WM be...

Re: Sorcerer spell selection and releveling
Just relevel. This exactly what relevel is for. Fixing your character after update is really the least abusive use of Relevel that I can think of. It is tedious, I agree but you only need to do it once and for the record nothing is stopping you from just ignoring this update altogether if you dont ...

Re: Award cycling races: Giants
I've created 4 Half-Giants since it's introduction, probably close to 2 years by now. The first half giant that i've created, does not have any supporting RP behind. I remember during that time, Jotunhold was in a real bad shape that most half giants are barred from entering and had to camp outside ...
Re: WM?
Weapon master is basically playing with RNG. Sure you can crit VERY hard but the crit roll is based on your threat range. Those overwhelming numbers are basically if the weapon begins with 3x and bump to 4x with weapon master. Originally, Scythe was 4x before it was then nerfed. So...for all 3x weap...

Re: Award cycling races: Giants
I've been playing half-giants but was never ever been amongst the RP within jotunhold nor met them even a few times at all. Granted, i've heard plenty of good words and stories from their commitment and also plenty of hearsay as well but there're 2 concepts that I do not quite agree - 1) Half giants...

Re: Would like to see -setclass or -setstat return in some form.
+1 If your playing a wizard and suddenly you start playing a fighter then you really shouldn't know all the things you new as a wizard, makes role playing the same character very grating to anyone meeting it for the first time, I mean why does this fighter know all about the planes and every detail...

There're years old Topic about Dispel checks for Casters and Mundanes which is actually off topic regarding Summon Adjustments. So in short, i've paste the link - I believe that Mundane having full dispel levels from consumables belongs to the original game. as intended from Beamdog. Of course, the ...

Re: Would like to see -setclass or -setstat return in some form.
For those playing older characters whose build was suddenly broken by an update, take that as a sign to retire them. This server is already biased against new character/players in a variety of ways, and it only compounds this by allowing ancient characters to continuously adapt. And beyond that... ...

Re: Summon Adjustments
Glad that the UCL on consumables for undead summoning will be fixed. There is no reason that the scroll should have higher UCL, even if it's used by an epic palemaster or anyone with epic mummy dust feat. The higher UCL should be solely reserved from inherent caster level and hence, only from the sp...

Simple solution.
Force Animate Dead to only summon Tier 1 to 5 Undead only regardless of Dust or not, like how Eldritch summon 1-4 works.

Hi You should create a new forum/astrolabe account with that particular character / username which you wished it to be changed. Somehow, my current forum account does not actually sync with the CDKEY that i'm using, which means that all my current characters not shown in astrolabe unless i login wit...
