Re: Guldorand server + Stuck bug.
First Guldorand, It has the highest bug rate of crashing, Getting in the stuck bug (more on that later), and still at times I get randomly kicked into the elven quarter. The stuck bug, Often happens to me after passing the first map change, I come into the new map and just won't walk. I'm stuck. I'...

Re: The (Hopefully) Temporary Shelving of Kael'avin
I love your positive energy and your constant effort to drive things forward and involve people. In my opinion we created a very cool, engaging sphere of RP, and you carried on for so much longer than I could manage due to RL. Sorry that I had to drop out twice. Kael'avin is a great character, and y...

Re: Arelith’s Areas Getting Too Big?
tldr Creating content isn't a democratic process. Feedback is cool. If creators stick to their vision after lengthy discussion, it's not our place to continue and question that. long read anyway Because the outcome of the poll doesn't matter. To even start one after the creative lead said that discu...

Re: Arelith’s Areas Getting Too Big?
A sizeable group of players have said they enjoy the larger wilderness, I have said I will not reverse the approach, or remake areas that were a significant effort, and have explained, at length, my reasons, of which the HAK size topic plays a tiny part. With increased player numbers and an active ...
Re: Neli Ore
Quite honestly, I haven't met Neli on any of my characters yet, but every one of them knows of Neli. And across three different characters, I had Stuff (tm) to do because of what Neli does, and that's astounding. Thanks for being a well of RP opportunities for many in this community, even if only by...

Yes please, or at least lower the volume to a minimum.
And can someone please kill the crickets? Briefly staying in places like the campsite literally leaves me with a tinnitus for a few minutes.
Ambient sound is cool, headaches and tinnitus not so much.

No, that one on the left is an "Elf mage (male)" sergeant spawn (or mini-boss as you call it) from just outside Myon, so basically the same situation as in your screenshot!

Re: Feedback on travel by foot and monster spawn.
I very much agree with this. While keeping the roads clean would be a step in a good direction, for me it’s not just the roads. 99% of the areas are filled with spawns. Cool old places and the new areas (Shyr/Minmir) would be amazing to RP with/in, but you have to stop and slaughter something every ...

The area doesn't seem to count as "wilderness".

Re: Blood and Bone
These things are small experiments. I personally found the way the game "Kisima Ingitchuna" tells the story in the interludes compelling, someone telling an old piece of folklore by the fire to others in a pictorial, more or less cryptic way. I want to come back to what I wrote someday and decide if...

Re: Remove -polymorph from lycanthropes.
@AU Thanks for the response. In my opintion, no rule or game mechanic should exempt any player from the presuppositions of "interactive RP before PvP" and "be nice" which players read and accept to oblige when they log in to Arelith (and thus expect the IG behaviour of others to reflect that). It's ...

Casually quoting FR wiki using citations from the monster manual: Werewolves are a type of shape-changing monster in Faerûn that are vulnerable to silver or enchanted weapons and can regenerate most wounds. Infected werewolves transform during the full moon involuntarily . Members of their race that...

Re: Portals can teleport you to themselves
And I worried that the fix would be implemented the way it now seems to be according to the update notes.
It can be very useful to move to a portal in the same area, if doing that portals you across the area (e.g. using a lense or -teleport).
What was the harm in this „bug“ anyway?

Actual windows! And a map of Arelith, and carefully chosen paintings... It’s super neat. Instant favorite, and the go-to for my characters.

Update, quick fix?
Has anyone figured out how to turn off that effect that lets you look at your character through EVERYTHING that's related to the tileset? That thing that hides the tileset if it's in front of your character. I'm guessing it's been put in to make the game more playable for Switch players and the like...

You don't have to keep track of version numbers in Steam, either. Picking "oldstable" will always get you the previous one.

I’m also excited about the possibility of easily changing and adding custom sound effects and music. Are there any plans for that?
