Re: Rethinking Conflict
Completely agree with Irongron's take on this.
Re: Monks
I think it's fairly obvious that a class that can push 50 spell resistance, gets epic weapon specialization, blinding speed, epic dodge and receives a host of other goodies just for pureclassing is a little (no real emphasis on the little) busted. There's a reason every other player is a monk curren...

Strange spell wasting glitch
I recently rolled a wizard and have found it seems to be plagued by a strange glitch that wastes their spells per day currently, and two of my friends also playing wizards have complained of the same issue. Upon transitioning to a new server you will have all your spells per day but occasionally aft...

Re: Neverwinter Nights EE coming to consoles
Have no grudge against you whatsoever, nor was that the reason for my post. I guess its called be tired of seeing the dead horse (EE and Beamdog) getting beaten on for the same complaints over and over and over. it would be great if people would give Beamdog the same chances Bioware had with what, ...

Re: Neverwinter Nights EE coming to consoles
You know what Vincent instead of crying about everything, why dont you just go find a server that is still running 1.69 and you can play to your hearts content with your many others, until at the end of the year the game stops even with the mods and workarounds because there is zero support anymore...

Re: Neverwinter Nights EE coming to consoles
Sure, this is true. But actually having a company that works on the game and is going to update it LIKE THIS UPDATE is a great boon. I'm also in support of consoles getting the game because it means I can soon play with a friend who has a switch but isn't much of a computer gamer. I am optimistic f...

Re: Neverwinter Nights EE coming to consoles
Not really a scam when the game would have stopped working as soon as another edition of windows was released, from how other games I have of that time period are behaving. Of course they're doing it for money, it's a game company and they're not a nonprofit. More money = moreally pay for them to a...

Re: Neverwinter Nights EE coming to consoles
Anyone with two eyes can see Beamdog is just prioritizing porting this game to every console in existence in the hopes of scraping together a few more bucks. I am very dubious actual improvements are on the horizon, I'm sure the new renderer is just a bit of flashy graphics made to entice first time...

Extreme enhancement at fugue, Benwick etc
Thought I'd try playing again recently but to my dismay the lag that only seems to have become a thing since Enhanced Edition reared its ugly head and gave me one of the most horrendously unplayable experiences of my life. I've passed through Benwick before and suffered severe FPS drops but this tim...

Re: Monster Creep and Dungeon Difficulty - Is it a problem?
You don't need a PowerBuild to solo most the epic content. A pure wizard/sorcerer, for example, with no optimised gear and no disc nor UMD can solo the entire server except from Paush. If there's something I'd like to see regarding epic dungeons, is at least one of them which necessary requieres a ...

The writ doesn't require you to kill it, and the monsters you face in the levels just before the dragon feel more than appropriate, particularly those annoying mages with Isaac's.

Re: Neverwinter Nights EE coming to consoles
Fixing the memory leak VFXes cause would be neat too. Don't remember it ever being this bad in 1.69, because it wasn't. (ツ)

Re: Where have all my vials gone?
It does seem a bit strange but who knows how magical items work. Maybe mojo is quite a sticky substance and its lingering residue leaves the vial unusuable for further concoctions, and it has to be added to the healing potion formula which is why you can't just use the mojo vial in the first place.

Re: Water/food system
Realism is only relevant as far as good gameplay is concerned and it's worth noting Arelith isn't a survival simulator. While this by itself would be reason enough to debate the system's merits there's also the fact there's nothing very realistic at all about chowing down five of your rations and bo...

Re: "Tall" height and hitboxes
I've scaled objects on my module and noticed they retained the hitboxes they originally had. I'd assume it's the same deal for NPC scaling but I can't say for sure.

Re: On PM's Dodge AC
Roll a palemaster and die to reflex saves... Completely overrated build as far as I'm concerned. I imagine it's just trash now. I recommend rolling a spellsword with the absurd buffs they just received (+4 AB, blackstaff lasts turns, truestrike buff, imbue buffs). Until they revert the change or ner...

Re: On PM's Dodge AC
Time to just roll a rogue and get 70+ AC, amazing utility, 70+ damage per hit (on sneaks) with 7 APR, stealth capabilities, skill points galore, epic dodge... What was so good about palemaster again? I thought it was always pretty obvious melee palemaster was a meme. Epic summons and ridiculous AC, ...

Think I've found the "indiscernible problem." Learn some manners. I tried to read what you posted after but it's pretty incoherent. Too vague to get any idea of what you're actually on about. If you didn't want me to react to you stating "You're wrong," you shouldn't have typed it. But this is troll...

Don't think I'll rise to just being authoritatively declared "wrong." Many of the issues you described I have seen a thousand times over in this community, so I have no idea how you can say that. Whatever. Not my problem. I and over a dozen others aren't having any fun currently so we're just going ...

Re: Improving the Arelith Community.
Speaking from my personal experience, I reported a player whom I knew had very much broken the rules and acted in a very irresponsible way. They still run about the game to this day, and I have no knowledge of whether they ever received punishment for what they did. I can see no positive gain from n...

Re: Improving the Arelith Community.
Maybe I'm getting old or something but I'm pretty sure before Discord there was Skype, Steam, IM etc. A program isn't the problem, it's the players, and if the problem is so rampant throughout the community that it's spurring threads like this, nothing is going to change much short of a full-blown r...

Uh... yep, that's what I said, lol.
From the wiki: on top of the vanilla spell slots, each level of Pale Master adds +1 caster level for necromancy spells and every 2 levels adds +1 caster level to non-necromancy spells.
