Do Drow have a nature diety?

Post by maxpolishguy » Sun Mar 29, 2020 5:20 pm

I've made a drow Druid and I can't find a drow nature diety. Do they not have any and I will have to pick something that's not typically a drow god?

I believe Ghaunadaur is technically part of the drow pantheon, and a small number of drow would definitely worship them. Might be wrong though.

Malar or Talona might be your best bets. Ghaunadaur is no longer a druid deity and Ibrandul is a dead boy. Also have Grumbar as option too.

Worshiping "Toril" is an option on Arelith as well, if you want to worship "the land"

No, they don't. But who's to say you can't worship Talona and say that it's an aspect of lolth (or whomever) as some kind of heresy.

Talona, quite possibly.

As stated above - Ghaunadaur is worshipped by many drow, and is a nature deity.

As a druid, you could still technically opt for Toril as well. You're still tasked with maintaining the balance of nature and things, and still draw your power from nature, regardless of your starting point. Assumedly, of course.

Lolth and Malar have had periodic alliances, so I think although Malar would make a lot of sense for a drow to worship. And don't forget that worshipping a deity mechanically doesn't mean you can't worship other deities equally. A drow could worship Malar for their druidic power while being equally reverent of Lolth or other drow deities, perhaps even worship Malar as the patron but be attuned to Lolth.
