Do SF: Conjuration and ESF: Conjuration buff summon stats?

Post by DangerDolphin » Wed Feb 19, 2020 9:11 pm

Greater Spell Focus: Conjuration causes a caster to summon a creature one "level" higher than normal when using the Summon Creature I-VIII spells, in the same way as the bonus provided by the Cleric's Animal Domain. Note that Animal Domain and Greater Spell Focus: Conjuration do not stack. This feat will also grant Fiendish Warlocks an empowered version of their final summon, and allows Summon Creature IX to summon a more powerful Ancient Elemental.

Epic Spell Focus: Conjuration enables the -yoink command. Once per rest, a character may send -yoink as a tell to another PC, which will cause them to enter a dialogue telling them that your PC is attempting to summon them. If they accept, they are transported instantly to your location.
Is this all the spell focus feats do? I heard they also boost the stats of some (but not all) summoned creatures

Spell foci feats will provide a stat bonus to every summon that corresponds to the magic school. Conjuration affects Conjuration summons, Necromancy affects Necromancy summons.

Each level of focus provides:

+1 to all skills the summon has ranks in
+1 hit die worth of hit points (meaning, as if the creature was 1 level above in terms of HP, both adding base class HP and CON modifier).
+1 AB
+1 Damage
+1 AC
+1 Universal Saves
In the case of Conjuration this DOES NOT happen for the Summon Creature spells. Instead you get the better summon with GSF.

SF/GSF/ESF Conjuration DO buff the following spells however.

Black Blade of Disaster
Dragon Knight (Non-dracolich)
Summon Fiend (Blackguard)

There are also two exceptions to the Summon Creature spells.
A Warlocks summons get the above stat boost rather than summoning a creature from the spell above.
Clerics with Animal Domain AND GSF get both effects. They summon a creature from the next level of spell AND that summon gets the stat boosts.
