Level Requirements for Armour

The wiki suggests that most regular armour, up to adamantine and greensteel, doesn't have character level requirements in the same way that weapons of an equivalent level would.

So, for example, a Lv8 character would be five levels off being able to wield a greensteel greatsword, but could wear greensteel armour.

Is that correct?

This is correct. I deleveled to level 3 and I was able to use my Addy armor, shield, and helm the whole time I was releveling.
