Arelith on Chromebook?
Has anyone had luck playing Arelith on a Chromebook? I still can't access Arelith from mobile, so I didn't know if it's worth getting my hopes up.

I'm not sure how far off a chromebook is, but it plays perfectly fine on a surface laptop

you can get android apps to work on chromebooks somehow, presuming the chromebook's stats support running programs of that level of android. so theoretically yes, but it'd need to be a fairly recently one i reckon, on par with a device that can run NWNEE android well. also, you would be running the mobile version of the game instead of the desktop, and also it wouldn't be supported or tested by anyone whatsoever so
good luck!
good luck!

Assuming you have a PC at home and are looking for a way to log in when away.. You can use Chrome Remote Desktop on the Chromebook. I wouldn't do epic content that way but it's good enough to log in and RP, craft or do low risk writs.

That seems like the best solution, honestly. Thank you!Gouge Away wrote: ↑Sun Mar 29, 2020 3:37 amAssuming you have a PC at home and are looking for a way to log in when away.. This will not work because the mobile client has not updated with us.Kuma wrote: ↑Sun Mar 29, 2020 3:33 amyou can get android apps to work on chromebooks somehow, presuming the chromebook's stats support running programs of that level of android. so theoretically yes, but it'd need to be a fairly recently one i reckon, on par with a device that can run NWNEE android well. also, you would be running the mobile version of the game instead of the desktop, and also it wouldn't be supported or tested by anyone whatsoever so

Re: Arelith on Chromebook?
I have played on my Aspire one cloudbook 14 while travelling.
It was crashy (but I was in Cordor a lot)
I needed a USB drive for the install as the onboard SSD wasn't large enough for the install.
It was "OK" for RP, but PvE/PvP would be tricky I reckon
I've also not tried it since haks went live and I don't know if that will affect it. I am, however, travelling less lately.

I am also annoyed, but at least I've been playing through the vanilla campaigns on my phone while away from my computer.DM Atropos wrote: ↑Sun Mar 29, 2020 3:41 pmThis will not work because the mobile client has not updated with us.Kuma wrote: ↑Sun Mar 29, 2020 3:33 amyou can get android apps to work on chromebooks somehow, presuming the chromebook's stats support running programs of that level of android. so theoretically yes, but it'd need to be a fairly recently one i reckon, on par with a device that can run NWNEE android well. also, you would be running the mobile version of the game instead of the desktop, and also it wouldn't be supported or tested by anyone whatsoever so

ALso, I CAN confirm that I tried the Chrome Remote Desktop tool from my chromebook, and have had success! It's not without it's downfalls. Combat would definitely be difficult, but not impossible. I'll honestly be able to craft and RP just fine from my chromebook, for what that's worth

I hope they update it sometime. I loved Arelith on mobile for crafting on the go.
