Had character chased out of Frigid by weave eater so dusted off 21st level pc and went back.
PC
14 cleric, 4 fighter, 3 monk
AC 45
218 HP
Weapons +4 and +3 kamas with permanent and temp essences
The melee:
did 143 points to weave eater, PC was badly injured
it was injured but it cast the new 11th level anti magic spell, not sure what it does so I ran and managed to survive.

Re: weave eater 1 21st level PC 0
Yeeeeeeeah. They kinda suck at the moment. They were made harder to deal with than intended. Irongron stated they were overtuned, so he's seeing how to adjust them.
Re: weave eater 1 21st level PC 0
Adjusted after the next reset.
- less damage
- Slower Speed
- Shorter Perception Range
- Easier to hit
These will likely still be a pain for mages who fail to avoid them, but definitely manageable. Given their short perception range it is still likely best to avoid them, where possible.

To take it a step forward, would it be possible to do something similar to the umberhulk in the stingers cave in the Underdark, also? Forcibly spawn the weave eaters near loot spawns to make access to those loot spawns more difficult to reach. Could make the loot spots more rewarding.Irongron wrote: ↑Sun Apr 05, 2020 9:21 pmAdjusted after the next reset.

Making something harder doesn't make it more rewarding, it just makes it harder. Making it more rewarding would be making the loot better.

I worded that poorly. I meant make the loot more rewarding, if it was going to more difficult to reach.ReverentBlade wrote: ↑Mon Apr 06, 2020 4:59 amMaking something harder doesn't make it more rewarding, it just makes it harder. Making it more rewarding would be making the loot better.
