I found this video pretty interesting.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aFZ_eaCcU-k

There's a lot that's probably common knowledge, but the actual nature of Reverie, mortality, reincarnation and Corellon's stance on elven souls in Arvandor were kind of new to me.

The RP I've been involved in on Arelith implies many people don't know about these things either.

The video cites a couple of sourcebooks. I wondered if the lore in the video can thus be considered actual, legit D&D lore?

There's a lot of lore in Forgotten Realms. Much of it a lot of people don't know. As we go on there's going to be more and more RPers that didn't grow up with 3-3.5 lore in their D&D RP. Plus there's a lot of people who like to treat the lore as 'guidelines' in their concepts on Arelith.

From what I saw in the video it's all accurate and relevant. Of course people can also be RPing ignorance of older lore of their peoples culture and religion intentionally. It depends on the RPer and the character.
