Who's worse, Yuanti or Rakshasa?

This is a question that I've often considered. And a lot of people seem to have a lot of different perspectives on this, so I'll present it to the forums.

Yuanti want to destroy everything, whereas Rakshasa are probably some of the softest 'evil tyrant' entities I've seen yet. Sure, Rakshasa are technically evil planar entities, but they also seem to be more focused on just owning things. I can't for the life of me see them as anything worse than despotic robber barons at worst- which, true, is very evil, but Yuanti are after the total destruction of the world, right?

Despite being from the prime, that makes me think the Yuanti are MUCH worse.

Rakshasa are lying, stealing, cheating manipulators who want to embezzle, corrupt, defile and control.

Yuan-ti are lying, stealing, cheating manipulators who want to commit acts of gratuitous bloodshed for the sole purpose of spilling enough blood to awaken an eldritch horror who they say will rise up and destroy life as we know it, reshaping the world to be inherited by his scaly chosen ones.

Soooo. Yeah. Yuan-ti are way worse.

There is an argument to be made for Rakshasa as 120% immoral and egotistical corrupters for only wealth, pleasure, suffering (of others), cannibalism and all sorts of despicability. Simply for the hecks of it. Yuan-Ti at least have a motivation beyond themselves.

Also a very interesting way to put it. I legitimately can't answer it myself- my gut reaction is the one capable of choosing, because you can't attribute evil to an animal for doing what it does to stay alive, but devils are on a whole other level. They can't choose to be good without some sort of deep and aggressive purification taking place, but they're also aware of what they're doing in a way an animal isn't.

Thus my point. It's .. interesting to look at Good V. Evil as a conflict.
