Passing the Nomad Inn &Tavern
One era in the Cordor ends as another begins with Wotan Woodberry passing the torch to the next Nomad innkeeper, Arihalys Lyonsen.
It has been fun to run the Nomad about over 1 year (13 IG years) since I took over from the end of 2018 to beginning of 2020, and all good things must come to the end due to other responsibilities as well the intrests in both IC and OOC, which would do no justice to the Nomad due to split time.
Nomad's has provided plenty of memorable RP, giving Wotan home, shelter and sense of purpose, but now the gnome has to step outside and meditate what happens next, be it temporary or permament retirement, we shall see.
But I'm at ease as I know the bar being at good hands, who I trust to keep the Nomad as shelter from the isle outside its door, away from all the conflicts and politics, where heroes and villains both can rest at ease with fun and pie.
I wish to thank my crew and all the loyal patrons, which I've too many to name and remember, as without you the Cordor's very heart would not be beating!
Heartwarm regards,
Wotan Woodberry & Nomad Crew of Woodberry Brewery

Thanks for the good stewardship Wotan. Congrats to Ari!
Re: Passing the Nomad Inn &Tavern
Youll be missed Wotan! The Pirates of Sencliff have had many brawls and incidents within your tavern walls, wont be the same without you firing a bow from behind the bar

I hope whoever comes next continues holding the dart's tournaments.
Great work though; running the Nomad is a key position in making Cordor fun for everyone. You did a great job.

Thanks so much for everything Wotan! Organising events and keeping a place like that alive is no small feat and you did it perfectly! I'm looking forward to seeing what you have in stock for your next focus. Or maybe not! Haha

Re: Passing the Nomad Inn &Tavern
Once I made a character to test a certain build. I frequently went to the Nomad to take writs, but after a few days I just gave up leveling the character and stayed in the Nomad for the RP. I am grateful that Arelith has players like you!

Re: Passing the Nomad Inn &Tavern
Thank you for all the sweet cookies here! Its very heartwarming!
Wotan Woodberry will most likely sail to the Skal or mainlands with his daughter back to wife Lorina waiting for their second child,
away from all the madness that is the Arelith Isle unless something dramatic happens! (Not sure yet if he will retire temporary for future return with family or permamently for good)
Should anyone roll a monster or slave, or hero seeking a proper villain, be free to seek me out as Beast King Karstaag!

Wotan Woodberry's Temporary Retirement
The curtains close as the gnome steps down from the stage on the shelf, making appearance time to time when one of his books are finished (read the volumes I and II: "The Spriggan War" and "The Heartwood Conflict") or practice his secret hobbies. Wotan Woodberry is gone but will return.
(Most likely when his daughter and possible other children are in playable age, which I wont be playing but let me know if you do.)
I'm not good with long speeches but I've been playing Wotan about three years and he was my first character on Arelith when I first got a word that there is one RP-server alive in NWN, thus I got hooked into Arelith like a goblin on Guaji.
I had my fair share of laughs and tears with you as Wotan, in both good and bad, but I'm happy for all the roleplay sessions we shared together.
Warm cookies for all that had important roles in Wotan's tales:
Mentors, Friends, Family, Main Patrons & Questionable Allies:
Torlarnd Ironfoot
Ivory Bushdigger
Lladria Sethassiel
The Fuzzypaw Family
Kera Nutcracker & Seel'Melaa Starlock
Adopted Bareknuckle Bill, Ivy Pebbletoe & Reena Welkins
Wife Lorina Phelenfelen Woodberry
The Nomad Crew
The Hawk'ins
The Oakenhearts Company (Kent DeLocke, Triah & Friedrich Oakenheart)
The Ministry of Gnomish Affairs
Berenor Silverwind
The Settlements of Bendir Dale, Cordor, Skaljard and Great Grotto
Bonzo Rippert & Gang
Priest Namfoodle (plus his many gnome alts I had pleasure to play with)
Zaravella the Sibayad Peacekeeper
The Heartwood Grove (Beryl Whitestorm, Edgar Linneaus)
Inquisitor Tyros of Church of Bane & His Retinue
Olwin the Freeloader Mage
Main Villains & Rivals:
Terto Tarquin
Vance Gravelle
Aerik Northman
Oskar Nutcracker
Willow Alexandria Hayden
The Sencliff Pirates
And more cookies to all of you I've forgotten to mention and had small interactions with.
If you see me online as Wotan, I might be writing a book or running his new hobby.
Now I return to rule the Ogre Caves with my iron fist as Beast King Karstaag.

I like Wotan a lot. Even if we didn't see each other often, I always read his board posts and would hear all about his antics.

Maggy loved playing darts at the Nomad. Not even those +15 darts could beat her eagle eyes. I also hope the darts tournament keeps being held every year, was always a good time. Thanks to Wotan and his player for all the fun memories.

Re: Passing the Nomad Inn &Tavern
The plan is to continue with the darts tourneys! Ari and I had a impromptu tournament last Friday, but we need to do a better job of advertising and giving advance notice. Keep an eye out on the message boards for another one soon!
