Shopping Montage

Post by CosmicOrderV » Sun Jun 21, 2020 1:06 am

Dis looks great! The atmosphere, the new models (even the ones without textures look great), the distant towering vistas, and overall NPC flair. Had me thinking it felt like legitimate old school bioware content.

Kept expecting a little illusion to pop up and say, "I'm Commander Shepherd, and this is my favorite shop on the citadel."

I, too, struggle to know what is written in books without first reading them.

It really is astonishly good, and very well written. I'd advise anyone who hasn't seen it to go and take a look.

I love it. The atmosphere, the things both stylish and seedy. Just all around awesome.

I'm in the same boat. I need to power-level an alt or something.

In spite of getting my fair share of sneak peeks and knowing what to expect, my jaw STILL hit the floor when I got to explore it live. Not only is it simply THE most stunningly well-designed areas on the module - from the ambiance built by fixture placement, to the touches of life sprinkled into the descriptions, to the hilarious (and sometimes petrifying!) NPC dialogue - but seeing players interact with it and realize just how amazing it feels to have this bustling city backdrop to your roleplay, and feeling the excitement as you peruse the different shops and scenery... Wow. That's the only word I can think of to summarize it. Just, "Wow."

I'm looking forward to the roleplay this truly special place inspires. Lord knows I've already got plans for one of the special knick-knacks I purchased in those random shops. I really just want to thank Bat Country from the bottom of my heart for all the work they put into this - it pays off in a big way.

I'm usually not super excited about updates, but the Dis update is awesome! I'm really glad there's someplace else asides Andunor evil characters/neutral characters can go. Should be a lot of fun!

even though i'd seen a lot of it during development (and helped out with some npcs/dialog along the way) the sheer density and quality of content was still absolutely jaw dropping when it went live. it's unlike anything else on the server, tbh - andunor comes close, but wow

i will say that there's lots of options to get there - and that being a specific class DOES NOT actually help you reach it. off the top of my head there's at least 5 ways I know of to get there, all spread throughout the module.

I'll add my kudos for Dis with a special mention to whoever wrote the dialogue for Vrannick. I was literally laughing out loud!

Spent almost two (rl) hours just meandering about there today. The malicious intent in every bit of dialoge is just tangible. Really stellar work!
