hi guys, it's getting on to be that time of year again! HALLOWTHANKSMAS. You know what that means, right? Gifts and art trades!

Last year's holiday art trade was awesome, ran by Tomato. Check it out if you haven't. I would love to do something like that again this year, and maybe be ambitious enough to try and make it into an annual tradition if we can. Arelith has so many wonderful people that love art and drawing, and nothing really feels more heartwarming than getting a gift that someone else made all by themselves.

People of all artistic skill levels and styles are welcome. Digital, scanned, a painted picture, a complex one, a funny one, whatever it is! Don't be shy, everyone is welcome and encouraged to participate. Art's a passion that everyone should feel free to enjoy.

The art trade itself will be anonymous, like any ordinary secret santa, but people are welcome to sign and post their stuff if they want. Artists will otherwise send their work to me, and I'll pass them along to the recipient anonymously.

Please fill out this form if you would like to be involved.

Make sure to leave a forum username so that I can contact you/send out details. (Make sure your PMs aren't full, either.)
Please also make your responses appropriate. No one is going to draw nsfw fanart of your character.

Sign-ups will close on November 1st.
I won't accept anyone after that point because I would like everyone to have their assignments as quickly as possible.

There will be PLENTY of time, the deadline for the art trade itself is December 15th. I'll be checking in a week beforehand to see how everything's going. Please make sure you have it started by then, otherwise I'll be assuming responsibility for drawing for the ones that bail out.

I joined Arelith just barely after the deadline for the last secret Santa, and even though I have significantly reduced free time, I'd love to try and participate in this community event!

I suppose I'll give it a shot. Hopefully a lot of others join as well.

heck, I'm even happy to help people with their projects if they're worried about something. the last thing I want is someone to not join in because they beat themselves into backing out, I want everyone to feel welcomed and to ultimately have fun with this.

The deadline for your drawings is December 15th. I'll be checking in a week before to see where you all are! Have fun!!!!

All assignments have been sent out via Private Messaging on the forums. If you submitted an application to woodbreeze you should have received a PM with your beautiful (or maybe bacon-faced) subject's description. If you did not please PM either myself or woodbreeze as soon as possible.

we already sent out names, guys. I've been talking about the deadline for almost 2 weeks. :( I can't take anymore people. unless a third person shows up then I can sort of make it semi-secret for you three?


if there's enough interest maybe we can have another one in the summer. I know a lot of people have been asking if we can open it to things beyond drawing, to also include composing music, writing little stories, making mini games and stuff. if that's something that interests everyone, maybe we could see it happen.

We have the first gift completed of the season! The artist would like to remain anonymous for now, but I just wanna say that they did such a beautiful job on this piece. The painting is absolutely gorgeous, and I really love all the colors. Well done. <3
