Ranger Summon Creature/Animal Handling.

We will file suggestions here that did not make the cut. Don't expect detailed responses, but the most common reasons are:
- implementing the suggestion is impractical, or too much work for the gain
- the suggestion is thematically against our design philosophy
- the suggestion is too detailed/low-level
Keep your suggestions broad and focused on RP benefits, please, not detailed suggestions of how to tweak X class.

Ranger Summon Creature/Animal Handling.

Allow Ranger Summon Creature Spells 1-4 to instead summon a level appropriate Beast/Magical Beast from natural areas. (Each tier of the spell have a 'cap' on the possible level.) This could be taken from a Surface/Underdark list, or a Beast/Magical Beast that would spawn in the area.

The Beast/Magical Beast would then give you a Take 20 Animal Handling roll to see if you placate it and treat it as a 'henchman' mechanically. -With it leaving if not. (To prevent any potential XP/Loot/griefing exploits from summoning hostile creatures.)

I'm mostly offering this as a solution in that the Ranger Spell List is lacking, and the Animal Handling skill is somewhat difficult to use. -Sometimes involving you crossing Arelith to find a creature you can befriend to assist you. Which isn't always ideal with how common disconnects can be.

(The Ranger Spell List specifically has mostly spells you'd generally prefer to potion or wand, then a very very crowded 3rd tier with Blade Thirst, Aid, and Greater Magic Fang all competing for your highly limited slots.)

I think we have to leave this as it is, without extensive coding as to what creature would be appropriate.
