As it stands death doesn't mean much, and in the case of pvp death constant squabbles about who is allowed where for 24 hours afterwards, sucking up dms time with he said she said nonsense.
This is going to probably be unpopular but, what if in the case of death you were unable to spawn again for 24 hours (real time)?
Or if that's too harsh, make that the case for pvp deaths only, or maybe only if the corpse is destroyed. Make it so the only way out of the fugue is resurection.
Or some combination of the above.
We would sure see a lot more thought out behaviours, and less leeeeeroy jennnnkins style yolo charges that frankly only make sense when death is meaningless, as it is now.
