Adding weight to death.

We will file suggestions here that did not make the cut. Don't expect detailed responses, but the most common reasons are:
- implementing the suggestion is impractical, or too much work for the gain
- the suggestion is thematically against our design philosophy
- the suggestion is too detailed/low-level
Keep your suggestions broad and focused on RP benefits, please, not detailed suggestions of how to tweak X class.

Adding weight to death.

Post by satan » Wed Dec 18, 2019 5:35 pm

As it stands death doesn't mean much, and in the case of pvp death constant squabbles about who is allowed where for 24 hours afterwards, sucking up dms time with he said she said nonsense.

This is going to probably be unpopular but, what if in the case of death you were unable to spawn again for 24 hours (real time)?

Or if that's too harsh, make that the case for pvp deaths only, or maybe only if the corpse is destroyed. Make it so the only way out of the fugue is resurection.

Or some combination of the above.

We would sure see a lot more thought out behaviours, and less leeeeeroy jennnnkins style yolo charges that frankly only make sense when death is meaningless, as it is now.
