Note: This is not a rant/complaint invitation, but a technical discussion/observation of new build opportunities related to the change.
Too late on that one. It would indeed be nice if people stayed true to the topic.
Hahah naive or optimistic? Both >:)

High int assassin with the lore to use better scrolls and half decent fort save on wizards for death attack. Throw in paralyze poisons to fishs for 1s to increase chances of your ambush paralyzing them.

If mage (competent mage) starts not caught off gaurd, you probably are screwed though. Though a high lore assassin has a lot of re-engage tools at his disposal. Obviously if you end up fighting a top tier pvp player, you would have lost to even their suboptimal builds vs you using the most optimal thing, because they are just better at the game.

I do wish the pvp balance salt would tone down while this thing blows over. Arelith is historically one of the few serious rp PW servers to even allow pvp to such an open extent that we do compared to some other rp servers. Irongron has admitted issues. Our prevois golden age of balance was completely reliant on mages selling scrolls to mundane. Ultimately mages have had all the power in their hands all the long.

If the whole monk super buff and then nerf fiasco didn't happen before this forums super on fire, your best mundane build would have been a pure monk.

Id like to see timestopped nerfed to proper dnd and allow no harmful effects period, but yeah.. Unless they can skill dumps and thus destroying discipline for mages along with a few spell nerfs or other mundane sources of disjunction/etc, the builiding community is prob going to be pure salt for the next long while. Even with said things there would be salt. No umd for higher spells requires a lot more changes down the road.
