Monk / Fighter / Rogue

Post by a shrouded figure » Fri Jan 10, 2020 10:11 pm

Probably a terrible idea... but I was bored and wanted to theorycraft. Any feedback would be great.

11 Rogue / 10 Fighter / 9 Monk

Human, Any Lawful
Gift of Dex +2
GIft of Int +2

10 STR
16 DEX +2 (26)
14 CON
14 WIS
14 INT +2 (16)
8 CHA

RO: Ambi, Two Weapon
RO: --
RO: Expertise
M: -- (+1 Dex for all)
M: --
M: Weapon Focus: Quarterstaff
F: Imp Expertise
F: Blind Fight
F: Toughness
F: Weapon Specialization
Ro: --
F: Improved Two-Weapon
F: Disarm
Ro: --
Ro: Improved Critical
Ro: --
M: --
M: Improved Disarm
M: {Knockdown, Imp Knockdown}
F:--
M: Epic Weapon Focus
M: --
M: --
Ro: Great Dex
Ro: --
Ro: Defensive Roll
Ro: Epic Dodge
F: Epic Weapon Specialization
F: --
F: Blinding Speed, Armor Skin (or Epic Disc)

BAB 21 (yikes)
328 base health
8 attacks, 9 w/ haste
6d6 Sneak

30 Disable Trap, 30 Listen, 30 Spot, 30 Search, 30 Open Lock, 30 Tumble, 21 UMD, 33 Disc, 33 Heal, 33 Lore

I did a version that’s like 3mo 3rogue 24 fighter, but I wanted to squeeze epic dodge in there... I dunno

I'm pretty sure it'll just have anemic damage and miss a lot ... but it could be fun to try! Probably just better off going 27 Ranger 3 Monk but I dont really care for spell casting... and should probably go Hide / MS but... I dont really like to sneak... so there... LOL I'm bad at this game.

Not really sure why you'd want more than 3 monk lvls on this build. I suggest a pre-epic spread of 3 monk, 12 rogue and 5 fighter. Post epic 9 rogue 1 fighter. Total of 21 rogue, 3 monk, 6 fighter.

Also you really dont need 30 traps/locks. You dont even need 10 if you build some gear for it. You also dont get A LOT of value from maxing both listen and spot. It is true that listen is better for breaking stealth and spot is both for stealth (but less efficient) and for disguises, but maxing both seems like an overkill to me. And lastly, but most importantly, I dont recommend this build AT ALL if it's without a serious investment in hide/ms and playing around stealth mode and sneaks.
