Player Craftable with Tumble Bonus

I enjoy many of the PC Craftables. But, a lot appear to have +2 or +5 Tumble.

Why? Only base ranks apply AC to your character and Tumble itself is a Set DC Check of 15 when running in combat, so anything above it is wasted.

Perhaps it would be more useful to replace a Tumble bonus with say.. +1 Reflex or +2 in the case of +5 Tumble items, to reflect the added dexterity and agility of the armour, whilst actually applying a benefit.

Some properties on craftables are actually there just to make the item harder to enchant/rune.

Some of them are items created in ANCIENT ARELITH.

Others are default NWN palette drops.

All tumble does w/o base ranks is help you avoid AOO (which is I guess useful.)

There is no deeper meaning to it beyond that. Items with tumble could be updated and not much would change.

Avoiding an AOO is a fixed DC of 15

Yep.

I've CC'd 1 point before on a mage before just to avoid them with a little gear. It's not a very useful skill, however, for someone who is actually invested.

I get what you mean!

Fifteen years playing and I still learn something new.
