Lassoed Creature Suggestion Feedback

Which is legit something I had hoped for when lassoes were first introduced. My only concern, really, is that this might be used in nasty ways in PvP, i.e. dropping a super powerful critter in Cordor's outskirts. On the other hand, this is technically already possible via purposefully luring a monster, which is against the rules, so maybe that's a non-issue?

I could easily do the same to Andunor or any surface settlement or literally just the transition to Cordor with Animal Empathy, Dominate Person/Monster, or Control Undead- I don't think this'll encourage or make that a problem, really. And honestly the idea of someone using one in a regular PvP scenario like a beastmaster in Jabba's palace is VERY appealing to me.

I like the idea of it, especially as a tool for the Kuldarn initiation ritual, but I do share the concern about it being abused. Empathy and Domination require an investment and a fair amount of knowledge to use effectively for ill. Lassoes would significantly lower the bar.

I think it would be great. It would mean that if you crash (which happens ALL THE FREAKING TIME) it would still be there to attempt a re-capture when you get back.

Good idea. If there is a concern of abuse, then the other tools that provide control would also be a concern. It feels a bit nanny-state to block this change just because it -might- be misused occasionally. Most things can be misused.

Would suggest keeping the current option as well as adding the option for it to turn hostile. There are roleplay situations where releasing a creature into the wild makes sense rather than it turning hostile.

Perhaps a "release" option to release the creature without it hostiling and "unleash" ro release the creature with it hostiling would be nice.

Perhaps its simple bias but I always like having options with such things. As more options means more possibilities and venues for RP opening.

But overall, neat suggestion !

You can lasso some monsters that are more powerful than anything that a PC can summon

I think that would add a lot of spice to arena event, having people need to fight a lassoed thing. I like it a lot.

Simple solution:

Allow the creature to be released into hostile only in specific locations: Arena, Cage fight, some sacrificial rooms... Etc

No public spaces

You can already summon powerful monsters in towns as well. Any creature summoned with gate that you don't meet alignment requirements and fail the save on is hostile to everyone. Its stronger than anything you could lasso as well as far as I am aware.
