It didnt work for a lot of people so they left their servers to find a server without haks. That's what happend to me anyway... roughly around the beginning of 2006.

Some RP server the hooked me REALLY hard 05-06 (and broke my heart when I couldnt migrate to cep 2.0 and taught me an important lesson in life about letting go and putting games in perspective)
Arelith.

Been playing between 12 and 13 years.
I was a young 16 year old when I started thanks to a friend of mine who introduced me to NWN and Arelith right away. I never even played the campains. Always been playing arelith and a few times here and there on a few zombie servers.

Started this year, first bought it to feel the excitment of playing the campaigns, then i got bored, had a look on the multiplayer area. Joined this server and rolled a natural 1 as Arelith persuaded me to stay. So i am still here

i was on arelith for a while back around 2008 i think, when i had just got into rp and found a copy of NWN diamond edition at a local computer store, but i only played on arelith for a month or two before switching between a few other servers

got back into NWN with the enhanced edition and i've been playing on and off since then

I would be interested to learn (IC even) who what characters currently in play are (and active, not shelved) that have been around the longest.

This would be a single character who has been active and playing around (maybe took a break and is back, but is definitely currently in play) who remembers back the furthest on Arelith.

-not PLAYERS who have been around, and have distant memories... IC, in-play characters who can recall back to the earliest days.

For me... I have a character in play who can offer IC 1st hand memories to AR78... but I know there's folk who go back before that that are in play.

It would be super cool if the various settlements established their list of "elders" IG... like Burrowhome, Myon, Brog...

this sort of IG info (IMHO) is super cool to RP, since you can IC seek these elder characters out to ask them history questions.

-i'm not talking physical age of characters.. .I know some folk are RP'ing their elves are 900 years old... i'm talking "time served" (so to speak)

Nico. I think Nico wins. There might be a handful of shelved but not playing characters that might beat him. But as for active characters? I mean. . . do we count PC's turned NPC?

Don't recall what the Arelith year was, but I rolled up Nicodemus Nov. 2007

Some other contenders (not necessarily in any order); Orion (love you Kriv!) Jacob Swift, Angela Amana, Amadeo, Iocastos, Andy Dirtytoes, Giogi Silveroak...

I really miss those Zombie servers

They where a lot of fun and some good rp at times. I hope one comes up again one of these days.

Would be fun if Arelith made a Skal- like concept based on zombie servers back in the day and you auto left at lvl 5.

Then when you arrive at Arelith, Folk be like, Hi! Are you new? Where you frome *happy happy*

And your char be like: *looks up from his sunken eyes* Hell...

NWN since it came out, until somewhere 2007, skipped the campaigns and went straight online.

Arelith since Christmas 2018 after trying out Enhanced Edition on sale for sake of nostalgia and hooked again from the first minute.

i have been mostly off and on as of late but when i first played on arelith was every day and night like an addiction but i think its about 3-5 years (probably longer than this).

Pretty new myself, been here for maybe a couple months now if that.
