Crafting Bug
Just tried using softwood to make signboards. I created them, all the rolls said success, used up the required CP's, but when I looked inside the sawhorse, all the wood was still there and there were no signboards.
Edit: Tried doing cooking crafting too. Had the same problems.

Re: Crafting Bug
I'll let Mord take the first pass on these, as the author of the new system. But we'll get things fixed up in the next day or so.

Re: Crafting Bug
you can also craft admantium for zero cost. finish the product and nothing pops out, as well as many many other things.
Re: Crafting Bug
I just burned up all my cp trying to make things that I actually had the components for and they used up the resources and the CP but no finished item is being created. Which is good, b/c Everyone would end up with Admantium ;p

Re: Crafting Bug
I just tried to work on some things I had already started, on the exact same crafting station I made the items in, and simply can not craft. Period. This was Alchemy and on Surface.

Re: Crafting Bug
Yup, can't do alchemy on the surface either.
Owlbears are the only thing keeping Arelith from the D&D experience.
Re: Crafting Bug
No such issues for me though.
Standard catalysts, glass bottle and vials all worked perfectly.
Crafting was done on surface aswell.

Re: Crafting Bug
I'm having similar issues on Cordor:
Alchemy:
Cannot craft by entering crafting ID. Doing so creates 'craft' items, does not use materials, but I am able to use crafting points.
If I do it by browsing the lists (the old way,) then I am able to at least create a craftable item, but it still used no resources.
I did not experience this with glassmaking.

I don't know about you, between and bicycles make me want to do natural things.
Re: Crafting Bug
Looking through it
It seems the bugged recipes are the ones that don't have any Material Or End products listed upon the crafting station (or within the trade book)
Is this true in every case?
If so looking to be a problem with loading.

I was told the recipe for Steel is mysteriously missing.

Re: Crafting Bug
Much similarity with art crafting
Re: Crafting Bug
Same issue with alchemy. I clicked everything, used up my CP, and in the end only the last one (which I couldnt' complete) showed up. It didn't use up the materials though.
Re: Crafting Bug
Did the recipe list all ingredients and outputs correctly?

Re: Crafting Bug
My character was capable of crafting (possibly) unlimited spell components. I did not pick it up until he had produced three more than intended. None of the reagents were used up in the process. This took place in the Underdark, roughly 5 minutes ago.
Re: Crafting Bug
Tailoring seems bugged as well. I've tried to continue working on already started projects. I placed a fine silk shirt in a station and it showed up in the menu as a short sword with 33 out of 1 crafting point required to make it.

Re: Crafting Bug
Existing partially finished products won't work - I did announce that a few days ago, but I accept that not everyone will have seen that.

Iron Ingots --> Steel Ingots by Craft ID 275 produces no End Result, as mentioned above.

Small Misc- is fine, up to about Seed (berry Bush) which shows up and says (Sub)Racial REquirements No Underdark (sub)Races. - I'm guessing that as I'm testing this on my UD character, that' this is correct, but should not be showing up. This is the same for all Surface Plants, which are available to me to craft, thoughthey have that message (thogh I've not tried crafting them, my character has 0 in cookery)
The same subrace note shows up on Meat Pie (Why can't UDers have meat pies? This seems a missed opportunity in Sweeny TodD roleplay?) Also - That said - Meat Pie has No End Product
Healers Kit - All missing End Products
Potion: Cure Serious Wound, Andtidote, Ironguts and Barkskin, all missing End Products. This is the most 'spotty' variation of the bug I've seen so far.
And that's it. All I can say is it's generally the 'latter' items in the list that bug out in some way or form. With the exception of 'Potions' in the cookery area which is just... wierd.
Hope it helps.

Y'know... this crafting issue could be turned into a plot opportunity...
..if not now, for future reference.
but you didn't hear that from an Old Dwarf.

Re: Crafting Bug
Yup, spell components are most definitely not working for alchemy on the surface. Tried several things hoping for a quick fix. The unfinished product shows up, but on completion, it vanishes.
Sadly, I'm out of components ><

Re: Crafting Bug
It seems that since the most recent (as of 10ish minutes ago) update, when trying to craft something, everything is blank. For example, when you try to create a healing kit, you select "quick meal", but it does not list the ingredients required to make it, nor does it allow you to continue to make it even if you have the correct ingredients in the pot.
