Bookshelves

Post by Royal Blood » Thu Jan 23, 2020 1:27 am

Every time I try to open the shelving tray it requires me to run across the entire room or into a wall or something for it to open. If I cannot for some reason reach the back side of a wall the option just won't open at all?

I was wondering if there was a way to fix this to make the shelves more accessible. Even after moving the fixture the node to access it seems to be left like where it was so I cannot open the tray on the shelf.

The option to view tomes works fine.

That's an example. I moved the fixture and yet it wants to walk me into a wall.

Even if the fixture is free standing sometimes I can just walk forward and access it but usually I need to be able to run all the way around the shelf to the other side.

Last update maybe and a solution...

SO after some experimenting I guess when you initially drop a fixture bookshelf it makes this little highlighted part I circled. That determines where you got to be standing to access the bookshelf.

So I placed it then moved it back the actual fixture moved, but this highlighted thingy didn't.

I'll see if it persists after reset, otherwise you just have to make sure that highlighted point is accessible and it should avoid weird pathing issues.
