Allow shop purchases with bank gold

Sometimes I've come across shops in faraway places and wanted to buy things but don't have the gold and a banker is not nearby. The distance has discouraged me coming back unless I really want an item. It would be nice to have the option to buy shop items using bank gold. Perhaps to combat this from being the normal way items are purchased, implement a bank fee of something like 5-20% of item cost (doubled or tripled for surface/underdark transactions?). Other options include letting a shopowner choose whether to allow bank purchases to be made (for an additional monthly shop tax?) and in settlement controlled shops giving the government overall control as to whether this option is forced, left open to the shopkeeper, or disabled. I think it would help breath some life into distant shops which see little foot traffic to begin with.
