Settlements Upkeep Costs and Calculations

Post by time_limited » Thu Aug 15, 2019 11:02 am

Hi,
I cannot find an information about the settlement resource costs for citizens/upgrades.

I remember there was a page on wiki about it but can't find it anymore there.

Can someone provide me exact numbers for Upkeep Costs please.
Thanks

Exiles: 5,000 Resources/exile, limited to 3 exiles + 1 exile per 10 citizens (3 + 1 exile per 20 citizens for Cordor)
Pariah: ???
Expanded Warehouse: ???
Darrowdeep/Gloom: ??? (the costs here have been deliberately obscured to the point where even after owning one of the castles for IG years, I never got around to figuring it out)
Citizenship Bank Storage: 3 Slots (free), 6 slots (5,000 Stone, Metal, Wood), 9 slots (10,000 Stone, Metal, Wood), 12 slots (15,000 Stone, Metal, Wood)
Clean Wells: 5,000 Stone
Free Food: (# of Citizens/3) * (600/Efficiency), where efficiency defaults to 3

These are the base costs for all of these - the minimum costs; all costs scale based off total number of citizens in a settlement according to the following formula:
Cost = (Base Cost/70) * # of Citizens

So a settlement of 30 people with 5 exiles, 12-slot storage and clean wells will pay out 25,000 GP + Food + Cloth; 40,000 Wood + Metal; 45,000 Stone per annum. A settlement of 70 people with the exact same settings will pay the exact same amount, because all costs are static between 1-70 citizens. A settlement with 140 citizens would pay double that amount per annum.

Exiles cost 6,000 of each resource, per exiled person IF you have the Expanded Warehouse activated, which all settlements do have as I recall.

I'm pretty sure there is no longer an expense based on citizens, it's based on exiles now.

Everything else (clean water, food, number of exiles) Memelord mentioned looks correct to me.

Citizens used to cost 1000 resources/yr per citizen. They removed that - and replaced it with static costs based off services provided that scale linearly in price as citizenship count rises above 70. That's how it presently functions, unless that feature was (ninja)-patched out over the last year, which there isn't any patchnotes to indicate is the case.
