I like big zones and I can not lie
You other PCs can't deny
That when a player walks though with its itty bitty size
and a massive zone that's a big surprise
you get hyped, want to pull up tough
'cos you notice that zone was stuffed
Deep with the beasts I'm fighting
I'm hooked, it's so inviting!
Oh friend, I want to get walking
big zones got time for talking.
Other devs tried to warn me
But zones that big are great for me!
This too shall pass.

(I now have a DM Discord (I hope) It's DM GrumpyCat#7185 but please keep in mind I'm very busy IRL so I can't promise how quick I'll get back to you.)

Would like to see:

- More horses
- Untrained horse riding on ponies (With severe combat penalties and spell failure if you have 0 ride, but you can still move quickly)
- Buffs to expeditious retreat speed and perhaps more travel spells
- Ranger movement speed bonuses (Maybe applied to their whole party, so they can RP guiding people through the areas)
- Small increase to the monk speed cap
- Removal of the silly package delivery walk speed thing, but keep the portal restrictions on it
Lots of good ideas here.

Especially package delivery walk thing. Walking through minmir lake areas (those are huge) from Brog to Guldorand and slowly murdering legions of ettin horse thieves feels odd.

As if you're controlling some sort of postal delivery snail of death and mass destruction.

I voted mixed feelings on things, for two reasons:

1: I would like to see the older spawn system revamped in such a way that it doesn't conflict with the new design philosophy on big areas. I'm all for big areas but I'm also for systemic fantasticness - Irongron's showed us the sort of spawn system overhaul (re: hand placed encounters of various rarities that do respawn regardless of area emptiness) is possible and I think it'd be wonderful for areas to be translated over so that writs, quests, and other things continue to function smoothly no matter how big or small an area was. I don't think there's any doubting that the current Arelith spawn system is in general made for areas that expected a relatively quick cycling, vs the idea that there may be people in a vast mountain pass, never meeting each other - but occupying the area nonetheless and preventing "Refresh".

2: As areas get bigger and destinations get furhte rapart, Courier quests, with their enforced no horse and enforced slow movement, become more tedious and tiresome for the *player*. It's one thing for it to be so for a character, that's not a problem, but when it becomes so for the player, we should maybe take a look at the system, just to make sure it continues to work properly in the face of new change.

Courier quests, with their enforced no horse and enforced slow movement,
Courier quests work with horses. However, you can't gallop, and walk at horse walking pace, and sometimes you receive excess movement penalties.
