Re: Vigilante and Liberator Feedback Thread

Thematic reskins for greater variety in storytelling around the pet would be fantastic. If you see what's been done to familiars, you could just have the standard whatever pet it's meant to get but then give players a choice on the visual by changing skins. This would definitely be nice. I would mu...

Re: -loadout fails to equip second ring

I found this was consistent when both rings had the same name. For example, two merchant rings would only equip one. Once I renamed one of the rings to something else, it worked fine. Consistently worked when equipping two differently named rings, consistently didn't work when they were named the sa...

Re: Cleric Domain/Path Feedback Thread

I think Cloistered in general needs some improvement. It similarly suffers from domain limitations but doesn't really get much to show for it. When I played a cloistered cleric, because I didn't have the right domains I never even had a use for divine favor/divine power. It can be pretty nice when c...

Re: Vigilante and Liberator Feedback Thread

What about making animal companion a technique choice for liberators, and giving them a couple more? Then it'd be more optional for liberators (and maybe vigilantes) to get one, or they can use the 2 more technique feats on some other techniques if it's not the flavour they're looking for.

Re: Vigilante and Liberator Feedback Thread

What is Aura of Resolve going to do? I see it's still listed as TBD on the wiki. I'm guessing this is meant as the opposite of aura of despair?

Re: Cleric Domain/Path Feedback Thread

I appreciate the feedback on this. I have been talking to others on this post as it stirred up a lot of ranting in private. I think my approach has just been a bit poor I suppose. It's hard to tell what lands for me and what doesn't. So I have no idea if an enemy is blinded or not. Stuns as well. B...

Re: Cleric Domain/Path Feedback Thread

1: NEP changes - Give NEP a DR cap like every other resist elements spell. Pure immunity isn't around for elemental damage for a reason. 2: Shadowshield - Let Defilers pierce Shadowshield to SOME degree, this spell is far too common in scrolls and this is literally a hard counter giving, again, com...

Remove Race Modifiers

As shown in D&D5e and Baldur's Gate 3, D&D is improved without having race modifiers to attributes. Right now all races have +x/-x to their stats, which limits build diversity and thus story diversity. It's a -lot- weaker to play a warpriest halfling compared to a warpriest orog for example, because...

Re: Vigilante and Liberator Feedback Thread

Giving Liberator an animal companion would be very cool; and give it a better identity from paladin too. I'm not currently maining the liberator, but a character I have in mind for next is 14 rogue/16 liberator (or 10 rogue/4 fighter/16 liberator, undecided). An animal companion would actually fit t...

Re: Post Update Rogue Feedback

@Wandering Poet I disagree with much of what you're saying. Some of this is in fact dated information. For example, Yuan Ti no longer capitalize on poison immunity for lobbing choking poweder because all rogues are now immune to their own choking powder. I do agree with shadowdancers and assassins ...

Re: Post Update Rogue Feedback

Before Rogue Redux, rogues were fine for perhaps 5% of the player populace where their understanding of the mechanics and build knowledge allowed for a dedicated rogue to remain competitive in PvP. The rogue buffs, while catering to the remaining players who may not be at the 5% top player skill/kn...

Re: The Unfun Question: Defilers, Hexblades, Hemomancers, oh my.

I mean, the parallels of Defilers and Healers being opposites is kinda baked in. Because I’m the one who baked it in and I don’t agree with my own decisions then. Everything about Defiler Screams Evil Cleric bent on destruction and wrath. (Selfish, Destructive, Evil.) Everything about Healer Cleric...

Re: The Unfun Question: Defilers, Hexblades, Hemomancers, oh my.

Also if defilers do become evil only, Healer should probably be good (maybe neutral) only. Evil people don't exactly decide to forgo wielding weapons and protecting themselves in order to keep others alive. I don't agree on the healers at all. Having the power to heal doesn't mean you have to use i...

Assassins: Choose to kill Not to derail, but I always find it weird that assassin are evil only for doing what ever adventurer ever does (getting coin for killing things). While dirgesingers (not even alignment locked) and palemasters who animate the dead and do horrendously evil things, are not fo...

Re: Gate Summon state feedback

Also I only said that it being an RP server is why it isn't -boring-; the mechanical whacking ability of a summon doesn't affect the RP. It doesn't really make sense to ICly say "Yes, I know I'm an evil blackguard murderer but I summoned a deva specifically because they'll use Word of Faith" - whic...

Re: Gate Summon state feedback

Practically, for balance, making all of the summons the same is the easiest way to ensure that summons are properly balanced. Is it boring? I don't think so - it's an RP server after all. Just because my pitfiend is the same strength as your deva doesn't ruin the RP of it. I also disagree that evil...

No issues at all holding a level! You are welcome to not level up. Keep in mind that it will alter your portrait until you do so, so you won't be able to target yourself with abilities by clicking on your portrait. This will prevent you from gaining -any- experience until you do though, including pa...

Gate Summon state feedback

Removing word of faith was a great call from deva and the hound archon, given it was often better to cast a deva than use a word of faith spell yourself, since it'd add an extra body and cast it's own word of faith. I can also agree with removing the stun, as while easy to counter for most, it isn't...

Loremaster Languages

Right now each level Loremaster gets 1 free bonus language using the -bonus_language command. However, has always been a bit weird that someone could go from not knowing a language, to knowing it over night - and even more so when there is a -relevel and the languages are changed. Suggestion: Like g...

Re: Cleric Path/Domain Mega Bug Report Thread

Seeker Cleric (and possibly others) don't correctly scale dweomercrafting with synergies.

22 cleric with 3 rogue doesn't give T2.
22 cleric with 5 loremaster doesn't give T2
22 cleric with 5 harper priest -does- give T2.

I imagine warpriest is similarly broken with it's dweomercrafting.

Nope. Didn't touch the related phrasebook until after getting LM levels.

Though I do know someone that had loremaster levels and dropped them and learned the languages manually after.

I can confirm that the bonus languages do not eat slots. 18 int without gift of tongues and I've been able to learn three whole languages since getting LM levels. If they ate slots, I'd not be able to learn any.

Slavery Level Limit

Problem: Keeping a very powerful adventurer with a host of friends as a slave makes very little sense. It'd be dangerous to the economy, very risky for Andunor, and they're as likely to kill their owners as work for them. Suggestion: Level limit the slave collar to level 15, like with Skal. If you'r...

Re: Scrying - Full Name?

Scrying is a very interesting feature, I've had it on two characters and barely found it all that useful. I wonder if there are certain 'good uses' for it that could be amplified to make it a better and more fun overall tool, while reducing the potential for misuse. For example: -Finding where frien...
