I love you all. <3
I try to be invincible for people-- Usually bad things start on my day off when I need for my nephew. Usually, something I warn people not to do. I love the team of Arelith, I love the player base.. but I just am to the point where I've wanted to throw up for two weeks now over this Narissorin thing...

Re: Spring Attack
Nearly Two Years Later : After doing A LOT of testing in recent weeks... this may not actually be a bug. I think I figured out the problem with Spring Attack, and why it sometimes allows Attacks of Opportunity. And re-reading it's description? After a lot of testing? It may be "Working As Intended"...

Re: BUTLER UPDATE: Butler made useless by update.
It means that people who are not the PRIMARY owner have zero access to these options, even though the conversation options are visible to them, and they used to have access to these functions BEFORE the update. When they (non-primary key holders) click the options available to them, the conversation...

BUTLER UPDATE: Butler made useless by update.
============= Butlers: Some butlers had their conversations modified. This won't apply to every butler, only ones using the proper scripts. - Cleaned up to look a lot nicer. - Characters with higher Leadership than Intimidate are considered "courtly", while characters with higher Intimidate are mor...
Re: Sorcerer
But you're again comparing reward characters to non-reward characters. You don't get much over 50 AB (with the -4 KD roll) on equal-size-modified races. So it's closer to a +46 unless you have Improved Knockdown, which many classes don't get. (This was why Ring of The Ram was such a big balance issu...
Re: Sorcerer
Deleted Sorcerer comment: " How about as often as spell saves fail ". If Knockdown functioned off of saves, than that would matter. But it doesn't. You can fail a death save and die -- but once you're true strike immune -- you literally can't fail. And that's an engine limitation. Unless they comple...
Re: Sorcerer
It's not what I personally would have imagined, but what IS: Skill dump combined with ESF if not STR based has become a standard for optimal builds - people build for 65-70 discipline. A human melee build can get up to 52 AB and take IKD - which would put its success rate vs. 65 discipline at 7%. a...
Re: Sorcerer
Pretty sure a mage can become 75% non true strike KD immune with just 2 points more disc and the boon after the basic basin gear. Nobody — not even giants — are fully immune. What do you consider balanced? 80%? Your question is nonsensical - if I asked you what saves on a WM would you have consider...
Re: Sorcerer
“Heal potions have been nerfed some, but besides that this little blue man is spot on.” As I said right before you post: Class potential is very much shackled by what can be combined with it and other classes that share related spells and features, where they already beat out wizards in most of the ...
Re: Sorcerer
KD nerfs happened with the Loremageddon. A lot has changed since then - while I'm sure these players are good, I doubt that the builds they were using back then would still work that well now. Also, if I recall correctly there had been an easily accessible discipline boon in the UD that's been chan...
Re: Sorcerer
I have known and had multiple non-disc chars in my own faction; and they were very successful; Xalyth was a 30 wildmage wizard who at the time could kill any weapons master in the game via melee combat. 30 Wildmage wrathful castigation and crit immunity are still useful to skilled players— Xalyth ex...

Area Name: Underdark (Andunor) Greyport (Port Authority) NPC Name: Off-Duty Peacekeeper https://i.gyazo.com/e389cc5db8cb62491dedeba1bb13252a.png Conversation and Name conflicting weirdness. May just be an IC funny; may not. Don't know but I think it fits this category even if it is judged to be fine...

Re: Gifts and "Out of Date Races"
Chill, nobody back in 2017 could have predicted how optimal builds and optimal stat spreads would look like in 2023. The server's changed a lot since then and time has not been kind to legacy characters - I doubt that many of those still left would even resemble optimal builds, much less gain an un...

Re: Quarter Auction System
I think Misesny_jez has a good point. Some properties should have a much higher % bid investment. That is a good gold sink; and that way it would have less impact on average houses for the normal player.

Re: Gifts and "Out of Date Races"
The signature has been removed, boss. Basically what I'm asking is not for a change in that ruling. I am asking why the ruling was applied differently to vampires -- I asked Poppy before your entry to the thread: So the position is that when <Unnamed Human Vampire Weapon Master> was made (as an exa...

Re: Gifts and "Out of Date Races"
The signature has been removed, boss. So the position is that when <Unnamed Human Vampire Weapon Master> was made (as an example to staff members without public disclosure) -- around the time of the creation of my own character -- they were always intended to be the ECL that allowed them to have a L...

Re: Gifts and "Out of Date Races"
To clarify. Despite their ECL, Vampires and Raka were not permitted to take a gift. This was due to the way their subrace is applied. Recently, it was made to allow this to be applied to them after the subrace was applied. Exceptions to this, I have no idea how they came to be so I won't comment on...

Re: Gifts and "Out of Date Races"
Perhaps I'm reading this incorrectly because I wasn't aware we had property reserved for Noble Award PCs. But to me it reads that you are taking issue on the Gift System and how it applies to legacy characters. But I am also reading that your main concern is on your inability to apply an award to b...

Re: Gifts and "Out of Date Races"
I’m sorry to hear that. It seems you will have to decide of your extra 2 strength from remake is worth losing access to a noble foyer, I guess. This is why I say the precedent set on Rakshasa and Vampires is irritating when applying it to old characters in those categories. The gift situation is li...

Re: Gifts and "Out of Date Races"
I don’t see the big issue. You are free to rebuild your character or use -remake to remake Saslae, just like everyone else. I know of people who have given up on legacy gear to remake their character. Why can’t you do the same? Because then I can never own a Noble Foyer again, unlike a Drow made to...

Re: Gifts and "Out of Date Races"
On SR: This was not just you, it was every source of SR that came from a racial bonus. I actually was recently reminded that apparently some people still have the SR gift, and if that's not scaled to 26 I'll need to adjust that too. Your statline: I'd like to actually see the numbers, but your char...

Re: Gifts and "Out of Date Races"
Gift of the Magthere gave you +2 Con at the cost of -2 Charisma. -- Making blackguard builds of the time near impossible for melee; no strength or dex bonus as with Greater Gifts. The feat was designed to allow basic melee fighters. You had the choice of that (making your hitpoints and AB still low...
