Why don't we allow summons to be more tanky again and greatly reduce the amount of damage they're doing? They can still get the job done, but at a much slower pace, forcing the caster to play a more active role in PvE.

Re: Arcane caster balance feedback- wizard cope 2 electric boogaloo
I'd like to see Sorc bloodlines that'd be implemented the same way Warlock pacts are: bonus feats don't risk breaking anything here (Sorc is a feat starved class). curated subsets of infinicast spells help casters perform outside their limited spellbook and give lot of cool options for character cu...

Re: Sibayad should be an explicitly evil settlement
I love the thought of another evil settlement, I like Sibayad but it feels lackluster, it could use a facelift. The issue I expect with openly evil places is when things are allowed to go unchecked, then when you have some players that take it way over the top and get the attention of every good-hea...

Re: Arcane caster balance feedback- wizard cope 2 electric boogaloo
It's sort of a tricky topic, wizards are probably the most technical of classes to play, both in PvP and in RP. But in combat, they are the definition of glass canons, they can unleash incredible destructive power, and can turn people to stone, to sheep, but if someone manages to close the distance ...

Re: Summon Adjustments
To me, it's making more mechanical sense to build a Constitution-based or a Dexterity-based Wizard than one that's heavy into Intelligence. You guys really need to fix that, DC spells are a joke when everyone is walking around with saves in the mid to high 30s. I have no issue with you guys nerfing ...

Re: Arcane caster balance feedback- wizard cope 2 electric boogaloo
Why don't we limit the bonus to saves vs spells from spellcraft to characters with the majority of their levels in a class that gets spellcraft? No more crossclassing spellcraft for +3-4 saves vs spells, what sense does it make for a 30 Fighter or a Paladin to have 20 Spellcraft? Then you can give S...

Re: Arcane caster balance feedback- wizard cope 2 electric boogaloo
Elementalists already get a language based on their path, I'd love to see Dimension Door get added, and then add it to the Arcane Flux list so wizards can portal about the battlefield. To me, the biggest problem with arcane casters is that it's not uncommon for most players, casters or otherwise, to...

Re: Summon Buff Changes
It's just more chores, once you actually manage to get to a level where you can make them. You're taking away options and slapping them with a need to rely on the crafting system, which just makes playing those classes tedious. It was bad enough with Spell Components, people like options but they ne...

Thievery will ALWAYS lead to people being upset, I get it, it happens in real life and we want the server to be fully immersive. But if you spend hours collecting materials only to have them disappear here and there till you have nothing left, what's the point of playing? I recently got hit hard by ...

Re: Greatswords - the worse 2 handed weapon
Yea, it sounds more like an argument against 18-20 crit range, which I tend to agree. What real benefit is there to take a longsword over a scimitar? But, yea, this deserves its own thread.

Re: Another update, another character sacrificed
Having said that I recognise that some will be getting a bumm deal with this. :( Very much so, yes, made all the worse by the fact that it was through no fault of our own. How can I trust anything I make if this is what is to be expected? When you remove skills from a class then that build will suf...

Re: Another update, another character sacrificed
The new update crippled my character to the point that I might as well roll. I get adding content but when you take it away it affects people far more than what you added. No more skill dumps for certain classes, while it may have been intentional or not does major damage to the character and build....

Re: Guldorand Vampires
In short.. Make your choices, but don't complain if you can't do certain things because you don't want to make a few tiny sacrifices. Not everyone is making that investment and not everybody has a fairy familiar. Enjoy your vampire area and don't expect a lot of traffic there. I'm not complaining, ...

Re: Guldorand Vampires
The benefit is easily worth the investment. I beg to differ, for the simple reasoning that there are 50+ other options available. Other places I can go that do not require a skill investment, because my character is not the type to fiddle around with locks. Why would everyone make any kind of sacri...

Re: Guldorand Vampires
It really isn't much of an investment for the benefit. It's not much of a benefit for the investment. I would frequent places like this if they were actually accessible. But if you have a locked door halfway through then you're just going to deter most players from going there. If the objective was...

Re: Why Do You Play Evil? Open Question.
I play evil personally because I find it's a lot easier to focus on that selfish personality. The kind of ambitious character where you'll do what you need to to achieve a goal. I've tried playing good-aligned characters in the past but I find them so very limiting, and ultimately, boring because of...

Re: Henchmen Feedback
I'm sad by how little use I've gotten out of the Leadership skill at this point. There are little to no henchmen for 30s to use and even those that do exist you are sorely limited on choice. The "Flaming Fist" mercenaries are the only ones anyone ever talks about and of course, everyone can't have t...

While I think the school likely does need some custom spell love, you are admitting you picked scry for a class with almost no divination spells. The spell list for favored soul is public knowledge, I don't see why and how you are being cheated here. I never said I was cheated or felt cheated, I kn...

Re: Dread Mummy WoF Removal
Balancing summons around people who don't use this basic tool seems like appealing to the lowest common denominator. . . This. There are other summons that cast spells and act the exact same way, I'm fine with those being removed from all summons honestly. But then that means you should give them b...

Worried about scrying? Use an abjuration specialist to ward the area, or even one of those cool meeting rooms dotted around arelith immune to such things. Then of course we have the FOIG ways on top of that. As far as I'm aware, all ways of preventing it are supposed to be FOIG, which is what I had...

Re: The State of PvP
People building mechanically do so because in a lot of ways, it does actually back up the RP of their character to do so. Want to be strong and good at hitting people with a sword? build to be able to do that. Want to RP an epic journey to master the arts of necromancy and be the best around? Havin...

Thinking there was not enough preceding pvp is no excuse not to treat pvp like what it is. Death. Your character died. And is now back. Knowlage that he can return again is a purely ooc thing, and while you might annoyed/jaded/frustrated ooc, your character will have just underwent a very traumatic...
