Re: Warding a public place?
. . . Kind of wish only one ward could be present in an area at a time, given that having multiple wards does nothing but be annoying. Well...Without getting to much into the FOIG specifics, the problem with that is that -ward has a pretty important defensive application in combat. While I understa...

Re: Sequencer Oopsies & Bug Thread
Played with them on PGCC, here are my findings thus far: Ice berg: will do the animation, but nothing actually happens. no damage, no save rolls, no CC. Oddly enough, other spells that are custom/new since haks were employed ARE working, at least improved chaos shield was working. DCs: DCs are insan...

Divine Grace Is Too Strong
I know that posting this will likely see a lot of bickering, but as we now have paladins that are strong enough to star in their own 80's style action films, it's a matter that I think really should be discussed once more. Whether it is Divine Grace or it's dark twin "Dark Blessing" the feats that e...

Re: Sunlight Blindness and 'Darkness' as a counter.
My INITIAL reaction to this new mechanic was, "Awesome! That adds a lot of flavor, some new tactical spellbook options on my wizard, and makes Sunburst less niche along with making Sunbeam not useless . Wait, what are the current sunlight penalties again...?" And then I learned what the penalties ar...

Re: Monk Speed from the Meetup
As someone who has been warry for years of monk power creep, even I think that giving them max sprint as default, at least by X level, makes sense. I'm just not in favor of changes that let them go back ABOVE 150%.

Re: Subdual mode is mostly a waste of time
I would like it if subdual also applied something similar to the polymorph effect where you can't use any items except potions. This will stop people using SOME of the consumable means of stripping off subdual to keep swinging (but not all). If not that, maybe add on a -80 skill debuff to lore and u...

Re: Hostile Interactions, Mass PvP, Transition Abuse and Bad Blood
What if we made subdual mode the default? In order to kill a player, you must first turn off subdual, EVERY time you log in. This forces players to take an extra thought, and a full step backwards in order to think; "Is this really necessary? Should I reconsider?" +1 as well. This sounds like a fan...

Re: Avariel
Love to turn into what is their "true" form and use the flight that is canon for every dragon in the setting to be able to use?
Yes. But, only when in their real form, obviously. Wings=flight.

Re: Avariel
If this does get implemented, it should also apply to RDDs and the rare unicorn that is the Dragon PCs (yes, there is more than one, most just shelve hibernate a lot).
Please and thanks

Re: Vampire PC vs Turn Undead
There are some truly terrifying ways vampire PC immunities can be used to make obscenely powerful builds, but I do think that turn shouldn't be SO strict a game ender for them. That being said, lessening overall counters to Vampires is...questionable. Vampire Barbarian, for instance, is essentially ...

Re: The Wizard Experience
One thing that -XXX- has touched on, but is getting largely overlooked in this conversation, is the other problem with mages, and wizards in particular: the class "chassis". Least spell slots/uses per day of any caster primary (except for warlock, but they can't complain with their wide range of inf...

Re: The Wizard Experience
DCs spell discussion feels like a dead horse being beaten. We have partial save spells for a reason and we prob can use more, but instant win spells should always be easily counterable. In actual group pvp shadow mages casting weird are still wipong out a couple characters in the first round. Shado...

Re: Yuan-Ti pure blood snake form
To be honest, a lot of the racial shapeshift forms need some love. They are nice RP cookies, but have some rather glaring issues. It would be great to see them set up in a way that didn't really stack with class abilities too well (so they couldn't be cheesed), but were effective enough to be more o...

Re: The Wizard Experience
Yeah, there's like 220 distinct spells in the wizard's spellbook alone. Tweaking them one at a time sounds like a nightmare ...and that's before taking into account other factors like metamagic. I think it would be nice if a greater percentage of that number were actually useful at level 30. One of...

Re: The Wizard Experience
I have a list of potential ideas to assist the discrepancy...But this isn't the suggestion box so I'm hesitating to list them here, for fear of annoying the staff. I will say that looking at divine grace/dark blessing will be a good start. A class dip of three or four levels should not give ...

Re: Wizard Gear Recipes
Difference being, you make the FS helmet and you are done. To match up, you need to mass-produce the circlet of Logic, and the failures+production are highly likely to add up to more than the cost of a mithril dust and beljuril; probably way more.

Re: Wizard Gear Recipes
Circlet of logic is very easy to make, can be further enchanted without hard 5% iirc, after that it's a relatively cheap hard 5% in terms of costs and ingredients, and AFTER that it can still take a masterwork rune. Considering how easy it is to make, I'd say it's a fine BiS for wizards. If we comp...

Wizard Gear Recipes
I always get a bit hesitant to tangle with hornets nests like this, as many people have varying opinions on where game balance lands for iconic classes, but here goes... From what I've observed, Wizard has fallen well behind most other spellcasting classes in terms of gear options. Im not really ref...

Stuck and immobile on transition
Description ========== I noticed that not long after getting my 18th level in Ranger (the class level with the 20% wilderness movement buff), both me, and in at least one instance the player I was partied with, would semi-randomly get immobilized after using a transition to a new instance. This happ...

Re: Subdual and Money
It's a little cumbersome, but to resolve the issue of IMMEDIATELY popping up subdualed enemies I tend to regularly carry a small stack of 10% weight lassos. Their duration, even on use-rope classes, is enough to make it so you usually won't have to be dealing with a revolving door of enemies. Flipsi...
