Re: Animal Companions - Reskinning? Are panthers native?

There are/were panthers in the swamp areas, and Different Panthers in a hostile forest zone. There's also panther totem druids so it's possible some panthers got straight up brought to the island as well. (although would a druid do that? makes you think)

Re: Is it Too Easy to be a Non-Evil Monster?

More reasons for settlements to be adversarial and in competition without necessarily going into the 'we'll just fight every 24 hours' cycle would really help Andunor (and the server as a whole, honestly?)

Re: Class design

If you are comparing the kit of a current class to the classes old kit you would logically compare the entire kit, no?

Re: Is it Too Easy to be a Non-Evil Monster?

1. characters aren't aware of respawn mechanics. constantly being a rude jerk (not what the evil alignment even is) in a city full of devils, drow, ogres, etc, is a really cool way to meet Kelemvor and I think most characters equipped with a survival instinct would know that 2. And, maybe your milea...

Re: Class design

Not to pile on but I really have to agree here. I would argue at this point that Arelith has the leveling system that a lot of MMOs have. 1-30 is kind of a tutorial and starter resource gathering situation, existing mostly because it's always existed and is how the genre 'works,' at which point you ...

Re: Class design

Honestly, balance or whatever aside, druid is my platonic ideal for progression. Specifically, the shapeshifting. You get wildshape at 5, and it grows with you- extra uses at 10, better animal forms at 12. Elemental at 16, boosts to that at 20 and 28, with extra uses at 22 as a nice sweet spot- and,...

Re: Feedback - PGCC - Invoker

Will invokers get the 'new mage' treatment where they'll get added to the arcane wand user pool?

Edit: [hemomancer feedback]
Epic abjuration focus on hemomancer doesn't give you the clicky for ward.

Re: Class design

I hate to be like "source?" but you'd probably want to give specific examples of mechanics, classes, and design choices you find align with your thesis, compared to how older classes behaved, or else it just sounds like new = bad. Also, like, class tables have been a thing since there have been clas...

[Hemomancer feedback]
-A 'fresh' (from one) Hemomancer with 22+ cha at level 20 does not get the epic caster flag as mentioned in the notes. Tried relogging, resting, leveling to 19 and back to 20. Only got it when fulling leveling to 21 hemomancer. This prevents them from getting an epic spell at 21.

Re: Feedback - PGCC - Invoker

I cannot stress enough how much I want to see how these play out in an environment where there's, say, a long dungeon and the refresh on RPR tick works. An elementalist down to his last, say, 10 points, gets back up to 30 on tick, which is enough (assuming a certain level) to cast.. 15 IGMSes, if yo...

Re: Current TFs: Migration or Grandfather

Having to consider what update number 1000 will do to grandfathered things when you're currently on update 500 is development nightmare; now we have to write all this extra code because 5 people complained that so they could play things exactly the same as before. I respect this line of thought, bu...

Re: New and Overtuned

Doesn't even need to be stuff mechanically stronger. Wisp bottles, single use command spell items like a 1x scry mirror or create portal object, or a 1/day portal lens, and other unique "rp stuff" would make them worth doing. 1/day portal lens is such a good idea for these. Not mechanically strong,...

Re: Current TFs: Migration or Grandfather

Wouldn't the more productive path here be to participate actively in the testing and feedback of the TF replacement class, to make sure that it feels as good as possible for TF users as well as everyone else? rather than clinging to the past

Re: Feedback - PGCC - Invoker

I think when planar conduit gets toned down it would be nice to leave it. Although if their blasting kit gets to where I suspect it's supposed to be, probably not an issue?

Can we get a hint as for what itemization will look like for them? Increased mana pool, faster recharge? Mana potions?

Re: Feedback - PGCC - Invoker

Garrbear's above post is right- they're both really cool aesthetically and I like it better than TF, but they're pretty weak. Hemomancer's class mechanic in particular is really cool- spellspam gets you blood stacks, blood stacks boosts your health grab, health grab recharges your mana. Great. I thi...

Re: Feedback - PGCC - Invoker

I like that it's still 'invoking,' tagging everything even a little dark as necromancy (and, eventually, evil, since people don't do nuance) just pigeonholes it.

Also they don't really have that many necromancy spells?

[Hemomancer Feedback]
-Massacre DC wrong
Explanation: 14 charisma, epic spell focus evo. 7th level spell. 10+7+14+6 = 37. 6 Blood Stacks burned, DC +1.
Spell DC should be 38.

Actual DC: 34.

-Soul Shriek DC 35.
Explanation: See above but for a level 9 spell.

Re: Feedback - PGCC - Invoker

[Hemomancer Feedback] This is extremely minor but- a command to show your blood stacks/invoker pool would be nice. I've seen other servers that used the new ui stuff to make like, bars for that type of thing, but it's probably more effort than worth. Showing on rest/date would be nice too. Edit: You...

Playing around with Starlock and with other warlock types, it almost feels a little, like, left behind? It's almost kind of got the nightmare/illusiony/spooky niche, but Night Hag hits that a lot harder. It's almost got an enchanting niche, but feylock exists. It's almost got a cool rider effect.. B...

Re: Uncertain on blast changes.

So, not to be harsh, but- that's a really niche build, that probably shouldn't be considered too heavily on overall balance for a class that mostly wants you to put 27+ levels in it. No? The (feylock only!) ranged/aoe healer niche being pushed to what you might call "dedicated warlocks" doesn't seem...
