Re: Temp shops just arn't long enough.
The few times I had Sappheira run a temp stall 95% of sales were when I had left it. I think people do in fact feel pressured to buy from them and that's a reason I avoid manned ones myself. Generally when I'm shopping I'm checking multiples stalls and also do not want to get bogged down in RP (sue ...

Manning a temp stall is what you do when you want to put NWN in window mode on your second monitor and play another game or watch a movie on your primary.

Re: Skal to Guldoran - Why it's not Working
The area you arrive at in Cordor as a new character was moved? I wasn't aware. Sorry, I thought you meant player ships. EDIT: On Guldorand. The vast majority of Arelith settlements started small and grew to accommodate growing player populations. Guldorand did not follow this trend and that's why i...

Re: Rogue Redux Feedback
I would be shocked if a DM ruled that taking a feat for the express purpose of making leveling easier with every intention of dumping it for another feat at level 30 wasnt "gaming the system"

Just because we dont want to turn this thread into public shaming of people (including ourselves, because all of the server was guilty of this pretty much. It was how shops are) doesnt make it a convenient strawman argument. You may not accept it and you may not like it but it was the reality with ...

Re: Settlement Management - The Ugly
The idea that the only way to turn a profit with a shop is to sell all the same things everyone else is selling and that you can only do it well at a certain character level is not just wrongheaded - it also just makes me really sad. Please stop making me sad and start using your shops for things t...

Re: Settlement Management - The Ugly
The upside of the current system, however, is that shops cycle a lot more and people of all timezones and playstyles and ooc cliquery level have an equal chance to get a shop. They cycle a lot more, yes, but they consistently cycle garbage. I mean, it's great they're changing hands so much. But peo...

Re: Settlement Management - The Ugly
If the purpose of the shop is to be a resource to benefit the broader player community, create RP, benefit the settlement, etc, then the old (or some other) system is better. I agree 100% Someone told me the price of fairness is shitty shops everywhere, then i'd rather it not be fair anymore becaus...

I'll give you one thing, the change to the way shops are purchased has most definitely given rise to a new wave of terrible shops.

Deafening Clang
Hi, A recent update says that Deafening Clang should behave like temporary essences now. However, it fails to apply the bonus damage without any server-log feedback if the weapon you're holding already has a temporary essence applied to it, rather than overwriting it as a temporary essence would. Th...

You can (or could) buy Shield potions from a certain trade outpost for cheaper than they cost to brew. (I think they should be cheaper to brew, not necessarily removed from the certain trade outpost.)

Re: Listen Seems To Get Inordinately High With Bards
Cordor and the Arcane Tower also have a large invisible hide/ms debuff as well. It's in between -10 and -20 points. It would be very nice if these debuffs were visible so people knew it was happening. I saw no mention of this ever being fixed, so I imagine the debuff is still there. I have no idea ...
