Outfit Not Swapping in the Same Inventory Space

The recent announcement stated that equipping outfits would swap out the items into the same inventory space as the items being swapped in. When I attempt to load an outfit that equips items from the inventory, the unequipped items are not swapped into the same inventory space as it should but rather in filling from the first page as usual.

Tacking onto this as more so a PSA for players perhaps than a bug report;

It seems items named the same (E.g. Default Name: Ring) will not equip both, consistently, or at times even swap them if equipped is named the same as to-be equipped.

Be sure to custom name them for unique grabs!

This is accurate, thanks for the PSA! It's a limitation of the system: if you have identical items in terms of item properties and name and item type the system will go for the first instance it finds for all slots it's assigned to. This is basically relevant only for rings and weapons. To avoid simply, as you say, name them something unique and save them in your outfit again.

Consequently renaming an item or adding more item properties (dweomercrafting, permanent essences, etc) will cause them to no longer match the item you've got saved in your outfit, so it will not be equipped. You need to update your outfit to use your modified item.

The swapping in place feature should be functional after the next reset.

I do want to point out, and will double check that I wasn't mis-saving the wrong set but!

Default named Boots with different properties didn't seem to swap when I was messing with it last night. Combat statted vs Sail + Wis statted. Will do a double check today.

Can you post more details? The feature is live as I have tested it in the live servers myself and I know for a fact it's working, though it may need some tweaks to make it more reliable in the live environment.

So I went ahead and retested the feature a bit more thoroughly and found that while it does work, it doesn't seem to swap equipment reliably. The first time I tested it, the helm and boots swapped correctly while the rest filled the inventory from the top. The next time, the boots and the belt swapped correctly while the rest didn't. And the third time, only the rings swapped correctly.

Sorry, was unconscious when you replied.

I used the -equip (outfit name) command after the server reset, and whilst it did unequip the old outfit and equip the new outfit, it did so by putting the old outfit in the first available spaces in my inventory, which is on tab 1, where the new outfit is stored in tab 5 of my inventory.
