Writs not completing "find the ...." part

I did some writs (Raid the gnoll camp, quiet the shade haunt, unravel the web) on my character, Morcar Birchwood, and happily went back to hand in the writs. I got no option to hand them in, and examined the writ paper. It then said 0/1 on the "find the ...." part of the writs. Which should be impossible, since you have to be there to actually do the writ.

Steps to reproduce
----------------------------
- Accept writ
- Go kill stuff as per writ
- ??
- Fail to hand in writ

Expected result
-----------------------
- Handing in writ for sweet xp and bloodied coins

Actual result
-------------------
- Immense disappointment at lack of instant gratification.

Misc Notes
----------------
The other party member was able to hand in all three writs.

Edit: I logged out in between doing the writs and handing them in. After a few hours I stealthily revisited the areas in question. That fixed the problem and I was able to hand in the writs. Of note: I also got exploration bonus for the areas that I passed through, even when I had visited them before.
