Wandering Paladin Random Event Bug

Description of Bug Experienced:
Encountered a wandering paladin NPC in Arelith forest. Spoke with him and he said that he decided evil in my character. Dialogue options were to kneel and atone, or opt to fight the NPC. I selected the latter option and the NPC hostiled my character and combat began. After slaying him, my character walked past Burrowhome where it appears all Hawkin NPCs are also hostile to my character.


Steps to reproduce the Bug:
1. Speak to wandering paladin NPC
2. Select the option to fight the NPC
3. Defeat NPC and walk back into settlement where NPC guards are present
4. All NPC guards encountered should begin attacking the character

Expected Result:
Fight ends, event is over with no other results.

Actual Result:
NPC seems to be set to the defender faction and when the choice to fight the NPC is selected, all defender faction NPCs become hostile to the player character.
