Spellsword imbue on transit (solved)

Post by Ozzy.nl » Sun Jan 09, 2022 6:54 pm

Hey folks,

Now I am not sure if this is a bug or not but it does feel like it's not the intention. When playing the new spellsword class I noticed a problem with the weapon imbue. We are used to that all spell effect are persistant when we switch from Cordor to surface. But I have noticed that the weapon imbue does not persist then. Kind of a deal when you go from say Cordor Farmland to the bramblewoods and back, because you lose the imbue twice and cant recast it anymore.

I'll look into this! It should be possible to restore the imbue.

It seems all weapon ench tem effects are not dispelled on transition. Gone when reetering.

So after the update went live I tried out to see if the imbue would stick on transition. And it still does not stick. Also now it seems that GMW does not stick eighter anymore.

I can confirm imbue does stick through transitions to different servers. Tested on Surface -> Distant Shores and Distant Shores -> Surface.
Edited for grammar to make it worse, probably.

Yesterday I went from Cordor to surface and lost it. Then from surface back to Cordor and also lost the acid imbue.

It's falling off of armor.

It seems this is not working at the moment and now that spellswords are down to one imbue per rest for weapons, it means a transition can eat it up and require a rest.

I have transitioned from the surface server to Guldorand today and from the surface to Cordor and each time the weapon imbue was lost.

Thanks!

Presently the fix is only working if your character has already visited the new server since the last reset. There's another fix in the pipeline that should address the remaining issues :)

Aha! I was actually wondering if that was the case, since it seemed like something like that was happening, but I was not paying attention to verify. Sounds good :)

Thank you for doing this though...bladesinger? AWESOME! I have wanted this class (and have played bard and spellsword variants) for years now, but this imagining of yours hits the spot just right!

On that statement I fully agree. I played the patched spellsword for a while now. And I was reserved at first of this new base class. I am more then positive about it now. Great job.

So I am not sure if the fix you have been talking about has been implemented yet, but after going from Guldorand to the surface today I still see that weapon imbue is not remaining on transist.

And now that we only have one imbue per rest left this can be a problem.

Was the weapon equipped while transitioning? And have you been on the surface server before that particular transition since its last reset?

Yes the weapon was equipped on transit. And I came from the elven high hall which is in the surface. Went to Guldorand then walked to Westcliff.

And Yes I was on the surface since last reset.

The armor Imbue did stick.

Imbues do not stick on transit, even if you have the weapon equipped.
