Repair broken fixture and persistant granite

I find remains.
Text feeback - fixture can be repaired with 6 granite
I get the granite - use the craft system to repair the fixture.
The granite remains in my inventory
This has happened to me twice - in both cases it was a broken altar.
May not be a bug? - I was expecting the 6 granite to be consumed?
