Possible improved Ki-strike bug

Monk improved Ki strike +5 potentially bugged.
Upon resting, or when i equip gear a combat box message appears which says the following: "applying ki strike 4 bonuses".
My character has feat improved ki strike +5.
I have noticed in couple of occasion that my character cant pierce npc monster DR, Crystal creatures of underdark for instance. I am not sure if that is due to their DR + is higher than the +5, and if indeed the imp ki strike +5 feat is not working properly, or if the combat box text shows wrong message.
Steps to reproduce
----------------------------
rest or equip any piece of gear with character that has the feat improved ki strike +5
Expected result
-----------------------
combat box message "applying ki strike 5 bonuses".
Actual result
-------------------
combat box message "applying ki strike 4 bonuses".
Which Server(s)?
