Oni-Nodachi no damage vs Ogres

Using the Oni Nodachi which has 1d4 Magical damage vs Ogres does not show any extra damage in the combat log against ogres.
Expected: Hitting an ogre in the Minmir Ogre Caves to do 1d4 Magical Damage
Reality: Doesn't
(Haven't tested in other places, but all of Minmir and related ogre spawns don't take magical damage)

Those ogres are racial typed as giants.
The actual racial type ogre is used for the player race

ONI-SLAYER NODACHI lists 1d4 Magical damage vs Ogres in its description.
Lists on character sheet when equipped.
Does not apply magical dmg to Ogres
Steps to reproduce
----------------------------
Attack Ogres with Oni-Slayer Nodachi
Expected result
-----------------------
1d4 magical damage on ogres indicated on screen by purple numbers, and in combat log
Actual result
-------------------
No magical dmg is present, only physical and divine
