[Megathread] Items lost activate and use property

Due to a recent bug some items have lost their activated or use ability.

To resolve this I will need:
- An image of the broken item's description, where item properties normally sit (scroll down as far as you can).
- What the item is, ideally from the craft menu or original name.
- What it has lost, if you know, if not try and be as accurate with the above information as you can.

Thanks for working on this issue! Here are my findings:

"Used" Writing Paper has lost both use modes. This is every note in my possession at the moment. Notes retrieved from notebooks don't seem to be broken.

Writing Paper has lost its use. Using a working note on broken blank writing paper still yields a functional note. Broken writing paper will not stack with working writing paper.

The Writ: Trackless Sea Adventurer's Registry & Contracting (Freelancer) is not useable. Writ item will accept new writs and writ progress, but I cannot use the item to abandon writs.

I previously said that my notebook wasn't working, this was not true. I had an item that I thought was a notebook. My actual notebook items work, and as above, the notes within are not broken.

Both repair kits in my inventory also have no "use" option anymore.

I have a stack of 27 forging repair kits, and one tailoring repair kit.

They worked normally until yesterday.

Hello!

It seems all the paper in my inventory and a note has lost this property.
The note in question is called 'Apex Library Missing Books'
That's honestly the thing I care about the most.
Also two other notes:
- The Sinking of Benwick
- Dear Minto and Griffy,

I will likely just trash the stack of papers and make a new stack.

Alrighty I lost a fair bit:

1. 3 forging repair kits

Not sure how recent this is, but...

The half-heal pots as part of the loot table drops, no longer does anything when you drink it.

I unfortunately drank the only one I had and threw the other in the trash. :?

I had a full stack of writing paper and other written notes that lost its activate property but they weren't important so I just trash bin-ed them.

But I have one very important item that I can not possibly trash and am unable to open it:

thanks for the fix, repair kits can now be used and piece of writing can be read aloud.

What does not work yet, is being able to
* read writings to oneself (use them on the ground)
* put writings on a notebook
* put writings on a notice board
* put writings on a door

e.g. they lack the "use" option, they only have the "use: self only" one.

I don't know if this is related to the OnUse bug, but it broke around the same time.
(and this is how much I've been slacking on a report)

The Message Board with the Red Tower can not accept messages.
When you use a writing paper to post a notice, nothing happens.
No post appears and the notice remains in your inventory, unused.

Nothing loads when you open the board, as if it were blank, albeit it had many messages prior.
If this is unrelated, my apologies, but the Board's use is.. not useful.

Sorry to see this happened, this will want it's own bug thread so the area people can see it. However I will direct them to this post for now.

Otherwise, all above bugs should now be resolved pertaining to activated items.

I misread the item name when getting the resrefs and accidentally swapped the two, I believe you noticed but they are fixed now! (they aren't very smartly named ResRefs so missed it there too, see "generic_###" as the format ;) )
