Undead SR from Wizard and PM

Post by God_In_Action » Fri Mar 17, 2023 10:40 am

Description:
Wizard necromancy specialist grants undead summons SR, as does Palemaster. These don't interact properly. Rather than picking whichever formula produces the highest SR, it appears to use whichever class you most recently levelled up in.

E.g. I play a 9 Wiz / 9 PM character. A PM level was taken more recently than a Wiz level. According to the Wizard formula, Undead summons should have a total of 19 SR (15 + 1/2 Wiz). According to the PM formula they should have 15 SR (6 + PM level).

My undead summons have an SR of 15 but could have 19. This means you don't get as good of an SR as your summons deserve

Steps to reproduce
Play a Wizard necromancy specialist with Palemaster levels

Expected result
The higher of the two SR formula should be used.

Actual result
The most recently levelled class applies its formula

Screenshot(s)
Words seemed sufficient to describe.

Misc Notes
None

Which Server(s)?
Underdark and Surface (others not tested)

Gaming Platform(s)?
PC

Solutions:
Higher formula is picked
Wiz necromancy specialist and PM levels stack in some way
Wiz necromancy specialist and PM both just use the same formula

EDIT additional bug:
New problem, I noticed that when I summoned the undead in Treadstone (Surface) they had 15 SR as per the above bug, then took the portal into the UD, the SR dropped to 0. SR appears to be lost on server transition.
