This appears to be an issue with Rakshasa. Something I've noticed for awhile but didn't bother to report it until now, aheh.

There seems to be an issue with investigate referring to my char as the previous race they were shapeshifted as instead of the current. An example was I logged into the server as a X, shifted into a Y, went to a new area and investigated a NPC. The NPC said they saw a X moments earlier instead of a Y.

Some testing:
I tried relogging and it still treated me as the previous.

I unshifted and investigated in my base form and it recognized the form I had just been (Y).

I then reshifted into that second form(Y), and it went back to treating me as the first(X)?

Sounds like an issue with how Rakshasa is masking its race.

So I started noticing this happening with tracks, and I think the problem was that the -disguise_race was the one being reported by investigate/tracks.

The issue I've had with this was reported in the past, where I tried using -disguise_race, and it shows that I'm changing my race in the log, but when I examine myself, it always shows the original race. I haven't had a chance to see if other people see what I see, but I know in the past when I used -disguise_race, it always showed the pretend race in my self examinations with other characters.

Just had this tested. So if I type -disguise_race, it keeps saying it's setting my shifted race to the one I'm trying to, each time. Never says I'm the pretend race unless I type -disguire_race to clear it, then it says I'm no longer disguised as x.

Examine doesn't work.

Other people's examine on my character doesn't show the -disguise_race.

Investigate/tracks show the disguised_race

There's also NPC's out there that will recognize special races as "an unclear race" instead of their current observable one.

Sent this to the admins / DM's weeks ago and not sure if it was ever worked.
