Raise Dead, Resurrection and Death
Can somebody summarize to me how are these spells and mechanics working exactly in Arelith right now?
With all piety/praying mechanics included.
thx

Re: Raise Dead, Resurrection and Death
Well, when your buddy dies, you grab his corpse and portal lense to Mayfield's where you can use the shrine at the back of the building. Then you take the Tower's portal back to where you were and resume grinding because death has no consequence. /snark!
Really, though. Using a scroll costs 50% of your piety, so does (I believe) casting the spell for clerics. Resurrection works just like Raise Dead but brings them back at full health.

Re: Raise Dead, Resurrection and Death
Raise Dead and Resurrection scrolls are now only purchasable from PCs, and are prohibitively expensive to make.
Using Raise Dead scrolls drains 50% piety automatically. Using a Resurrection scroll costs 75% piety. These piety costs are reduced by 25% for clerics.
Corpses may also be raised at module placed (Non-crafted) altars. To do so, drop the corpse directly next to the altar, and use the pray option. The corpse will return to life after a semi-random but short period of time.
Corpses can be carried through portals.

Book of Souls (the loot item) allows you to raise/resurrect people with no piety cost, making them better scrolls in every sense aside from weight and size.

Re: Raise Dead, Resurrection and Death
Other items such as spirit stones and Wyrdstones also allow you to raise at no piety cost. Pretty much, the scrolls and spells are the only piety cost.
Alia: The uncanny knack of Angela Amana to make the otherwise perpetually well-mannered girl lose her temper and be HORRIBLY ASHAMED afterwards.
