Well I know about The Spellplague, that happened. Mystra being killed by Cyric, and the Weave changing and weakening, but I just read that on the Forgotten Realms wiki. Enchantments stopped working, and there was a some shockwave. I didn't know the Weave actually ceased to exist though.

And I think Shar created The Shadow Weave, right?

This is all 4th Edition lore (i.e. post Arelith's timeline). None of this has happened.

Some sort of synergy between shadow evade and casting ability would be cool.

Such as:
- all spells summon a globe of shadow at targeted location on top of their usual effect
- chance to spawn a scaling number of shadows as the summon shadow property of shadow conjuration along with the effects of whatever spell you cast
- even higher DC while shadow evade is active
- all spells cast as quickened while shadow evade is active
- you do not need components/piety when casting while shadow evade is active

Or ... yeah, you get the idea.

4th edition blasphemy.

The best advice I can give you Magnus is to stop reading FRWiki, and to start reading sourcebooks.

4th edition blasphemy.
WotC: "Alright you guys. We want to rework magic. Now how can we do that?"
Genius George: "Well, we could just change the rules. I mean it's not like we've not done it before, say this is a more balanced and easy to follow way for magic to work. we can retcon it as having just always been this way."
Doltish Daryl: "How about a world shattering cataclysm that basically says if you had an arcane spellcaster of some sort, congratulations, they're dead or insane now. Maybe by killing Mystra again. I know we've killed her like, five times now, one time literally being unmade by a deity guarding the way back up to the celestial realms, but this is the one that really counts. Oh but we'll resurrect her later on anyway."
WotC: ". . . .BRILLIANT!"
