Is the Dodge that half-elves receive 'hard'?
Meaning, does it count for feat and class prerequisites?

it's awesome to get a plane touched to lvl 30 with ecl 2 and it get turned to ecl 1 now.
yay... how useful is that.. can't even get a stat gift on old toons.. urgh. sorry.. just frustrated...

i think the concept is good tho. hopefully should bring more Assimars to the table.. been to many evil reward races of late.

Which means, if I go elf-aasimar, I can then pick a dex bloodline, and then a dex gift for a starter +6 dex?

elf (+2 dex) + bloodline (+2 dex) + gift of grace (+2 dex) = 6 dex.
hence i got screwed over royally.

Yes, they can take a blood line, and one major and minor.

Do not hold your breath though...! They're bound to get something similar to the imp/dismissal interaction.

So they still get their base-race bonus? Elf-tief would get a base +2 dex? (before bloodline and gift)

I can make this work if its in high demand. I mean I am not being lazy its just the subrace system is huge now on Arelith so sometimes adding support for old characters gets tedious and you are not sure what might break.

What I could do is a DM tool to allow them to give your a Bloodline option; it would neutralize your current Aasimar ability stats though. I think DMs have the power to add gifts as well so if you really wanted to pick that as well, definitely doable.

Personally I think just adding a NPC in the character editor area allowing your to pick a Bloodline there is best.

Correct. Aasimar and Tiefling get whatever stats their base race had, a bloodline, and gift (1 major & minor)

Gotcha.

I would suggest sticking a +1 ECL to the bloodline, though.

We went back and forth on that one. Aasimar and Tiefling still requires a Greater Reward though and I think the idea here is to make them slightly stronger.

Will have to wait on a Admin decision on this one if current Aasimars and Tieflings are to be allowed to pick a Bloodline (And potential gifts), at least if they had picked the Subrace with a Greater Reward.

yeah.. don't think i'll get an other greater reward anytime soon. so kinda felt frustrated about this. :/

The planetouched alreayd are +1 ECL from the bloodline.

Will ppl be given relevels over the extra feats?

I can think of a couple cases it could help.

When you ask DM i am sure they remove needed number of levels...I doubt you could ever get them back tho.

Yeah, this is a sick update and I'm very happy gift races are no longer crappier than base ones! But I'm also in the boat of "should I go back to level 6 since I now wasted a feat?" Dangit.

Would be interesting to get a position on this. Since it's not every character that might need it maybe make it a case basis?

That definitely shouldn't be the case, since there's no reason for it and it makes no sense.
