Warlocks and Blast Animation

So, I've decided I want to play a Warlock who will hide herself, but still use her spells sometimes, would it be wrong of me to ask people to ignore the blast animation that you get when you cast a spell?

It wouldn't be wrong to ask, but it would be wrong to expect it of them. You're a Warlock. Your spells look different. What You See Is What You Get.

However, you may want to try to surround yourself with quality players of magically uninformed characters. Not everyone knows what Warlock blasts look like.

If you want to hide your powers, it's a good idea not to use them in the presence of people who would be telling.

My warlock managed to hide her warlockness from all but a few compatriots who I can count on one hand, for about 10 IG years.

Do your buffs trigger the special effect? You can still be an amazing support character with just those. If your entire contribution to a party is firing the occasional arrow and keeping everyone hasted the entire time, they'll still love you for it. Same with UV and Darkness spam, with the other pact.

Then all you have to do is act religious, and they'll assume you're a Favored Soul.

Haha, no they don't trigger the special affect, it's only the other spells that trigger damage that trigger the special effect, and well...haste is hard when you're playing a....non-feylock

UV and Darkness, then. You can blanket entire maps, and since it's full CL instead of wands, it'll last for an entire fight.
