You cannot pinpoint a century and claim all of the Realms fits into that. Because it doesn't. Nations fit into anywhere from the 700s to the 1600s.
I am referring to what was stated by the one who made the comparisons (none from Arelith in fact) and that says Amn = Inquisitorial Spain or later someone who said, Spain in the 1400 (and that I disagree :D ) .. I hardly can find in Amn any resemblance of Spain. *shrugs*
Disclaimer: All what I write are simple opinions of a player and always with honest intention to contribute constructively and from respect, but with a poor knowledge of English.

Thank you

For some countries even possibly earlier.

Damara borrows themes from the HRE as mentioned earlier. The country is split into several Grand Duchies, including Polten, which is a good analogue for Poland, and Soravia, which I've played a couple of characters from and is like Romania but not really with bits of Narfell eh I dunno.

Narfell is the most Mongolian non-Tuigan place. It's the steppes. Except they're not Mongols.

It's about time for new characters.

I take offence to that statement, given I lead the current Banite Inquisition.
