exp adjustment for summons

trying to limit exp decrease on a high ecl pc...anyone know the exp adjustment beween the various summons types..i.e. summon monster x, gate, charmed/dominated creatures, and animates

I think its a 20% penalty per summon in vanilla nwn. I'm not 100% sure if its like that on Arelith.

felt like I was hit with a bigger penalty for more powerful summons..could be wrong though...thx

Higher level summons have higher xp reduction.

The first elemental in vanilla nwn is lvl 16, the second 18, the third 20...

Depends on its level relative to yours via a complex formula. Basically, more powerful summon = worse for xp.

On the flip side, summons will make you spawn more creatures, so xp per spawn may be roughly unchanged - it'll just be a harder fight, reflecting the extra body you have.

If you're tactically minded, bringing a lower level summon with you can actually increase your xp gain.
