Some PM questions
So, to simplify:
The character I had in mind is going for 10 Wizard / 20 PM.
My questions are, thus:
How effective PMs are as casters? Will they actually hit stuff? Is it worth taking all the three penetration feats?
How does damage calculate with PMs? Do spells scale up as if you had taken another level as Wiz/Sorc?
Thanks in advance!

Re: Some PM questions
How effective PMs are as casters?
Poorly. All PM's get are bonus spell slots at a slower progression then leveling as a caster would.
Will they actually hit stuff?
With spells? Yup
Is it worth taking all the three penetration feats?
Yup. Given PM levels don't count towards spell penetration you'll need all you can get.
How does damage calculate with PMs?
None currently. There is plans to change this so that PM's will get damage increases with PM Levels.
Do spells scale up as if you had taken another level as Wiz/Sorc?
See above answer.

Re: Some PM questions
NOTE: A PM with Wizard is unique. PMs do get bonus spell slots, and for wizards, this mean they can learn spells from scrolls. I've not tested this extensively so I don't know if there's a maximum spell level they can learn from this.
A Wizard/PM/Fighter for example, can make a good spellsword. Great defence, wards, and moderate melee.

Re: Some PM questions
Keep in mind that if Mith keep one of the plans on the undead and necromancy reworks, PM may count as half caster level for spells, thus making them more effective than they currently are.
Can't remember if this may happen for necromancy only or all schools.
Still it was just an idea discussed some time ago.
Asida that, PMs will have lots of unique undead summoning perks, being the only class able to summon 3 max tier undeads (as a payment for their sacrifice of CLs).

why wouldnt cleric with all the appropriate prerequisites(EMD & epic spell foc necro) casting 1x animate dead/create undead/create greater not be able to have 3 top tier summons?

Re: Some PM questions
Because Tier 4 summons requires Mummy Dust.
Another source is PM's natural Undead Summon.
The last "4th" tier undead, would be the Dracolich, that a PM can summon through Dragon Knight.
Mind you, a pure PM have way more weaknesses than most classes, so their sacrifice should be worth it.
