Forums not staying logged in

Before the big meltdown, and everyone had to change their passwords, I would stay logged in, and very rarely ever had to log in again.

Since then, it seems like it will only keep me logged in for a few hours at a time and I have to re-log in again.

Is this "works as intended," or is there something I need to do like clear my cache or whatever?

I've disabled persistent logins for now. I'll bring them back when I work out how to invalidate previous ones.

I find it only a minor inconvenience. I wouldn't mind if it stays this way.

It doesn't bother me to log in each visit, but I wish it wouldn't log me out when I have the page up and idle (for example, while playing).

It has a timeout of something like an hour.
